Well not simply PMS, but starting from a few days leading up to actual MS until maybe the third day after.

I find I get very anxious, like a knot in my stomach, during that time period, and when that happens, I have to play some Warcraft games or something to get my mind off it. I'm positive it's some hormonal jack-up that's causing it, though can't be sure.

At least when this happens I'm consciously aware of it, and have learned that my thought processes work differently in that time period. For instance the stomach pain/knot seems connected to and reacts with the fact that I'm single and am not likely to change that status (through no fault of my own, at least not consciously), due to lack of available prospects. In fact it's pretty much the only time I even *think* about that kind of thing.

Well . . . I feel a sense of doom. But my perspective may be lesser as a transsexual.

I never had . . .um . . .MS before testosterone therapy. Once or twice in my life.

But ever since I stopped getting my meds (which didn't start until age 23), it happens with disturbing frequency (about 4x per year).

I'd rarely enter into Women's Discussion, but hormones are hormones?

I do certainly feel an increase in personal sexual desire . . . and I masturbate more . . . and I inevitably end up googling "connection between masturbation and anxiety." But now I'm wondering if your perspective holds more validity. Increased estrogen correlates with increased anxiety.

Yeah. I'm more irritable and more likely to meltdown from anxiety. That's when I figure out, "Oh, it's coming soon. s**t." :/

YES, definitely. I don't usually get angry or emotionally sensitive the way I've noticed most people do. I get much more anxious and have a hard time sleeping. Sometimes I get panic attacks. D: It's not fair, it can already be hard enough... lol

I feel too many things at once. I try so hard be normal and all together but the pain can be excruciating. I haven't gone to a doctor for 2 years and I feel it just gets more painful. I watch my diet but I still don't know what's in my diet to cause it. I don't eat sweets and leave some carbs at bay.

I've been fortunate not to experience PMS since I was about twelve or thirteen. I think I did suffer from anxiety like you mention for the first couple of years, though.

i don't really experience PMS, but i have noticed that the 2 days a month when my period is the heaviest are my most happy, stress-free days of the month! and usually the only nights i can sleep well and wake up feeling rested. so i actually look forward to it. i've been thinking that maybe i have a hormone deficiency, and then maybe if hormone levels rise during menstruation i am finally at a normal level? but i don't know enough about it.

Yes, I do get very anxious during PMS. My mom did too. I'm also more prone to crying and losing my temper.

My anxiety definitely goes way up during that time.

I actually experience not only severe PMS, but PMDD. I can actually erupt in tears for no reason, and I have to be alone for a long time to get over the anxious feelings exacerbated by PMS.

My anxiety goes up, but more than anything, my irritability goes up. I'm kind of a monster for that week, though fortunately (because my body doesn't like working properly), it only happens a few times a year.

About a week before my period starts, I become more anxious. Usually, I take 100 milligrams of zoloft for my anxiety. But, during that week, I take 150 milligrams.

About a week before I'm due I turn into Mr Hyde, totally emotional and quite confrontational. It's so frustrating as I hate it but I feel there's no way I can control it. It usually only lasts a day or so though.
