Okay I have no idea how it started coz when I was younger I used tampons for a while and after my first BF tried to spring sex on me out of no where I broke up with him bcoz of the shock and I realized that when I was ready to have sex during one of my relationships I closed up and he broke up with me -- the irony (good for me though). So I was wondering if there is someone who had this happen and if so how did the gynecologist help you?

I have not had this issue. I did read a book a few years ago where one of the lead charactors had this issue. It is called "fishing for stars" by Bryce Courteney.

Oh really? Its not nice  but atleast its no big deal... just that someday I would like babies and this would be no help.

I went to a gynae finally and she said "you'd suprised how often this happens"

My partner had a previous girlfriend about 30 years ago (who was a virgin) with this problem. He said she was given a SMALL glass penis shaped thing (i suppose it was a dildo) that she had to practise inserting inside herself (with lube) while practising relaxing. I'm assuming she got over her vaginismus problem for a while, lol, he was with her for a year or more

If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? And, are you a virgin? I had this problem when I first met my fiance, and he actually could not penetrate me. I had been abstinent for a long time, too. I went to the Gyn, and she recommended lots of lubrication which did not help. I also started getting pain in my abdomen after attempting intercourse. Finally she referred me to PT, for what was known as scar tissue reduction. Turns out I had adhesions from prior surgeries. They had to work inside the vagina, breaking up adhesions. They also had me to do special exercises. Result? No more problems!

Not okay. Maybe that has something to do with it, or at least, didn't help. If you can't afford vaginal dilators (the glass dildo things of ascending size), try your fingers. Don't be afraid to play around with it. Get a mirror and look at it. Talk to it. Give it a name. Make friends.
you gotta be okay with sticking things in your vagina yourself before you're really going to be okay with anyone else doing so. If that is in fact your goal.

What I want to know is... what is the best way to get the vaginal opening... well, open? Or is that being terribly misogynist and better for the woman herself to work out, so it were?
