Hello everyone.

I am suffering badly from PMS. I am taking fluoxetine (prozac) for depression and ritalin for ADHD. The depression and ADHD are well controlled and I'm much better, except at that time of the month, when I completely lose the plot. I was using the patch, but have recently changed back to the pill following PMS so bad that I ended up at the emergency doctors on a weekend. He suggested immediately stopping my break, and tricycling the pill if things aren't better. Someone else also suggested that the break from pills can be changed to 3 or 4 days instead of 7, which may help. I'm tempted to try both to be honest, but wondered if anyone had any experience. I've often used the pill to move my period to a more convenient date without problems, but felt worse when I've used the patch to do this. It is better on the pill than not.

BTW I tried depo in the past, and not having periods was great, but I had problems with it, so unfortunately that (or anything else that is progesterone only like the minera or implant) is probably not an option.

Sorry this is a bit rambling, but any input would be welcome, thanks.

I've been on a progesterone only birth control pill for my PMS and dysmenhorrea for about 7 months now. I've also been on sertraline (zoloft) for depression for a year now.

I take my BC pill all the month, maybe switching to a progesterone one might work?

Sorry, I don't have that much else to offer!
