I noticed that in this debate over putting birth control in health insurance we didn't get female thoughts. We have some now, but none aspergian/autistic. I want to know what you think of this...it is fairly political yes, but it will get more attention here than the politics section.
I won't comment on any thoughts regarding "lady parts" since I am male and may say something insulting. I just think this is an unrepresented minority.

People who don't want to fund public birth control, male enhancement supplements or procedures, substance abuse treatments, obesity treatments, etc. for other people should not have to pay for it. And it is unconstitutional to force them to anyway. There is nothing in the Constitution that says we have to pay for these things for others. The Constitution guarantees the pursuit of happiness, but it doesn't guarantee that you will catch it if you pursue it. And it doesn't guarantee any help for our own, often bad, life style choices made during the pursuit of happiness.
People who do want coverage for any of these things should have to pay extra for it. Also, providers of healthcare, including pharmacists, shouldn't have to handle any of these things that violate their personal beliefs, especially if there are alternative sources available. Since Planned Parent--actually Childlesshood already offers birth control--both medication and murder, there is no reason why a pharmacist should have to offer it also.
As for birth control--don't want a kid--keep your zipper zipped, and your legs crossed. Once the fetus exists it is alive inside. It meets the criteria for life--it takes in nutrients, gives off wastes, grows, engages in biochemical processes, moves, etc. A human fetus possesses human DNA, so it is human. Because it is alive inside and has human DNA, it has a right to be born, that can only be justified in being terminated to save the mother's life or health, and by health I mean a serious risk to same, not simply because it would be inconvenient to have the kid. For Pete's sake, if you get pregnant and don't want the kid just put him/her up for adoption! There are plenty of people who would like to adopt a kid.
Too many people choose to overlook that the US Constitution guarantees the right to life. It also guarantees liberty, but that does not include the freedom from the responsibility or the repercussions of our own bad choices.

By this same reasoning, only those who drive should pay for street repairs, and only on those streets they use. People without children should not have to pay to maintain and operate public schools, either. And for those who live in public housing, they should not expect anyone who owns their own home to subsidize them at all!

Fnord, your wit always cracks me up.
He does have an excellent point though...I don't want to pay for erection pills just like I don't want to pay for military spending when it's above $500 billion. Still doesn't affect where my taxes go, only lobbyists do that. Voters are relatively uninformed lately, so they can't really stop a lot. It doesn't help so many political figureheads change sides at some point during their leadership or that we still have riders pass through legislation.

The issue in the news is about private health insurance -- no taxpayer money is involved. An employer pays an employee's premium; any charges such as buying birth control pills is payed for by the insurance company. It was Limbaugh making stuff up when he said, "it's a new entitlement program."
