I wouldn't be able to wear those, because there isn't enough room in the toebox. I actually gave up completely and started going barefoot full time over four years ago. The first week I was hypersensitive (ow ow ow) then I got blisters for four weeks, but even then it was so much easier. My brain felt lighter. I didn't realize how much energy it cost me to walk around in those clunkers.
I know exactly what you're talking about. It's quite a challenge finding shoes that fit perfectly and don't strangle my feet, lol. Where exactly have you gone to find shoes?
I have never been able to find shoes that fit even sort-of well. Either they forced my toes to overlap, or they made my heels bleed (too stiff). I even tried custom-fit and they were too tight in the toes too! In the end I was wearing Ecco soft because at least my feet didn't bleed, but there was nowhere near enough room in the toebox.
Nothing fits like bare feet!
If barefoot doesn't suit you you could order an online kit and make huaraches, or wear flipflops, if you can walk in those. (I can't.)
