Boys would normally rely on experience than knowledge in some situations.

For example, If there passed a law that you were no longer able to use a public bathroom without paying,

The men would usually Not be tolerant and get angry.

Girls are more likely to do academically better than guys because guys are focused on girls
and sports than actually studying.

On the other hand, boys cause like, 75% of problems in the world.

Woman: "How do you write women so well?"

Melvin: "I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability."

That's Jack Nicholson from "As Good As It Gets."

No.

Also, there's nothing wrong with the men's response to your toilet example. Blindly following new laws without question could be seen as the less smart option.

I'd like to see some evidence to back up your sweeping generalisations ;)

No, I would not say that. It's true that girls mature faster than boys, but not all of them are smarter nor have more common sense compared to boys. I've heard of girls who have done loads of dumb stuff. How do I know? I know about this girl who was at my brother's wedding and she drove into my brother's new truck. That was actually her third hit and run that she's done. She's very stupid having to hit and run three times in her life. She has a real drinking problem, that's why she ended up backing into my brother's truck :(

What is common sense, anyway? Whatever it is, I think men and women lack it to the same degree with extreme variations between individuals rather than genders.

The toilet thing sounds more like issues with authority rather than common sense. I think women are less likely to express issues with authority than men, but not due to biological difference but due to the culture they are raised in.

Girls seem to enter STEM courses only if they know another girl who has already taken them.

Boys seem to enter STEM courses because they're fun, they're lucrative careers, and because fun-loving wealthy men tend to attract women.

Well, either way, women most definitely are not smarter than men and vise versa. As for what common sense is, it's supposed to be like animal instincts, only for humans.

You forgot the "neither/both" option.
Neither gender has a monopoly over common sense or stupidity. And following rules blindly is a bad thing to do, no matter the gender. There is something off about your post.

I don't think it matters if women are smarter than men, or vice versa. What the two sexes can benefit from is learning how they can complement each other, rather than trying to determine who is smarter. There are things that men naturally do better, and there are things women naturally do better. Sometimes it can surprise you!

it doesn't matter that much who is better at what, as long as love is shared and exchanged.

I have met some of the smartest men and women alive today and I can assure you, both genders are equally intelligent. Also, you mention relying on experience rather than knowledge...but they are both largely inseparable and I don't quite get what you mean. All knowledge that we possess comes from experience, and all experience provides us with new knowledge.

I don't think that any of those points indicate more or less common sense. They're just an average tendency toward different strategies in solving problems.

* Sometimes experience is more important than knowledge. IMO, a wise person aims to have both. My mom has lots of stories of her brother, who was an engineer, and how he was always bringing gifts to one of the head machinists at the company that he worked for, because the guy had so much to teach him that he wanted to learn and couldn't get anywhere else. There was an old guy who used to run a bike shop in town who was a retired machinist who had lots of "dumb, inexperienced, engineer" stories.

If you've ever built something, a structure or a machine or a piece of clothing with your own hands it's not as simple as people who haven't ever done those things think. OTOH, having experience without any inclination to learn new knowledge is very limiting.

* People being angry can lead to change such as the American revolution.

* Men have been responsible for most of the change in the world for most of history, good and bad, so of course men are responsible for a lot of bad. I'm not arguing that that is ideal. I.e. there's a philanthropist I heard interviewed who said he only gives money to women (in poor countries) because they spend it more responsibly and constructively. And, I believe him.

The difference I see is the bias toward hunkering down (good response to tornadoes; bad response to violent raiders) versus fighting (bad response to tornadoes; good response to violent raiders).

Neither.

Men don't ask for directions; women wear heels. Etc.

I used to say that girls were more mature than boys, but I was very immature then, and was later embarrassed by how immature I was at that time. I figured I was in no position to point fingers.
