Where's the men's forum?

Honestly, there simply can't be a women's forum without a men's forum. It smacks of pure, unadulterated sexism.

There was a men's forum - it had to be removed from the site because it was only receiving perverse and foul language posts. You can read about it in "where man stand" thread

then enlighten me. What is the meaning of it?

If there was a men's forum but no women's forum, would it be sexist then? I think so.

That's why they have moderators and if they do their jobs once in a while or make some more moderators, the forum wouldn't have that problem.

Go and read the 20 other posts on this subject or pm Alex and ask them. Or check out the thread that trees is talking about.

So you think there should be an empty men's forum then? Why should Alex keep a forum where every single thread needs to be deleted?

But yes this has been hashed out repeatedly. Alex isn't going to keep a worthless forum that lowers the image of wrongplanet and thats all the men's forum was - the only ones who were using it were those who were looking for trouble

It's not sexist. The title is telling men that women are going to be talking about sensitive women issues on here and to proceed with caution if they want to come on. If you have an issue with there not being a men's board, please take it up with the admin in private. There is nothing that the members of this forum can do and you whining to us about it when you are actually addressing one person in your title is kinda ridiculous.

I came here from the home page new topics list.

This is one case of gender inequality that I think is entirely justified.

I ain't gonna tell you to look someplace else because I ain't looked there myself. I was around when we had a men's forum. Sounds okay in theory, but in reality it served absolutely no purpose. Everything posted there was the same stuff that gets posted in the adult forum, so it was entirely redundant and served absolutely no purpose.

It seems a lot of the females here find the women's forum to be valuable to them, so I'd say let them keep having it.

The real question is why the males here couldn't make anything valuable out of the Men's Forum when there was one. That's a question that would be worth considering.

The Adult and Love & Dating forums are pretty much dominated by men and their issues.

Gads, no kidding, and the crap that goes with that.

There's a whole lot I could write about that, but not without someone projecting like crazy.

There's also the dismissive attitude towards women's issues, as though the male issues brought up by the few trump female issues.

The sad thing is that there are a lot of older AS men here at WP who could give some decent advice, but don't because they didn't go to the old men's forum because of what it devolved into. And that was what was wrong with the old Men's Forum. It was boys crying about how awful it was to be a male aspie, or trading porn sites, or telling awful stories. There was a sense of self-pity, and it seemed like the support given only cemented the lowly views and attitudes.

Even with that, I'm not sure why Alex deleted the Men's Forum, except that he only had so much space, and made a compromise. Since men tend to dominate most of the forums anyway, maybe that's why he got rid of the Men's forum.

Metta, Rjaye.

I would ask an NT for advice on relationships first .. probably my brother, he has kids and a wife. He would also tell it to me straight as well. I have no problem dating, it's the NT girls who can't see the good in me  or they just shy

ROFL, I agree that it would be deemed fair for a Men's Forum but I see alot more "sexist" threads against women than I do men. The adult thread looks like it's becoming a men's thread. Maybe you could try that spot?

FYI, a good thing to know is I believe males outnumber the females on this site.

Men post in the women's forum all the time, so it's not really a women's forum anyway.
