After watching the brave little toaster I agree cars have souls so please be kind to them.

Is there a car heaven and car hell? Did Hitler's car go to hell?

Where do muscle cars go? :p

Mine can tear up a road, but seems to lately decide not too (even though I floor it). (hence im replacing the distributor)

Furthermore was there a Car-Jesus who took out insurance policies for every car's soul so that all cars could be saved?

Ah! The Brave Little Toaster. The film I remember most from childhood.

I both loved, and feared that movie. It was great, but kinda creepy, too.

I found it on DVD about 2 years ago in a department store and decided to buy it. Still as creepy as I remember, but it a good way. The huge magnet at the car scrapyard scared me most. He was scary to a 5 year old . The lamp was my favourite, and the hoover. What were their names? I think the lamp was called Lampy, but the hoover? Hmm...

And a vacuum cleaner named ... Hoovie!

Turns out, he was called Kirby... according to Wikipedia, anyway.

The other characters are all named after their objects. So the toaster was called Toaster, the lamp; Lampy, the blanket; Blanky, and the radio was known as Radio. I wonder where Kirby fits in with this trend?

Kirby is a brand of vacuum cleaner like Hoover or Eureka, one that was popular decades ago. Hence the name of the vacuum cleaner character.

Ah, I'd never heard of that brand before. Makes sense now.
