Hi all I got my very own website up and running ^_^ here is a link Through Autistic Eyes


My Website is not done as of yet it still needs lots of work, editing, etc. but please take a look if you see something that needs fixing or you have suggestions please let me know. I would also like to thank Strapples for getting me the program Rapid Weaver that I used to make the site and for giving me a good deal on hosting ^_^

One suggestion: the red font color on some of your pages is kind of difficult to read. Maybe change that to a color that works better with the background color. Other than that, it looks good.

Yeah I am constantly playing with the font color, data and all I will get that fixed thank you for letting me know that needs to be fixed.


Oh BTW if anyone has a site dedicated to autism awareness and you would like to link up to mine please let me know and I will make sure your added to the link list.

Have you ever thought of changing the font size to be about 10pt or 9pt, and changing the colour to a light grey, like #aaaaaa? I think that it would look much better. Also, if you changed your font face to a sans serif face, like font-family:sans,sans-serif;, it would make it look even better. I do like the rest of the design though; it is only the typography that struck me.

I'm the first to say this. Can you make a forum please? Not a forum where you register and all that, an imageboard ( *chan). It'd be cool to have an autiechan...

IIRC that isn't an official diagnosis and that label applies to the entire autistic spectrum; Aspergers is included under HFA.

I heard some sources say ~70% of autistics are HFA. not sure but you should link to one.



also note that the sensitivities do not have to be the same; you may have a high sensitivity to some sounds but you may not experience meltdowns or shutdowns so easily and it had to be a lot of stress for that, etc.



IIRC stuttering and horrible handwriting are co-morbid conditions; so check that to be sure.



note that they can also regain those skills eventually



IIRC PDD-NOS tends to be lighter thsn Aspergers in diagnosis most of the time; but check that to be sure; remember some source saying there's a 2:1 ration of PDD-NOS to 'lower functioning' autistics. Again check it.

I increased the font size, increased the brightness of the font by another 5% and change the font style from Verdana to Geneva. How does it look now?

Well, the problem with reading lies almost entirely within the fonts colour. The font face and font size are only small factors in your case. But red and blue do not read well over grey, which is why i suggested that you try using #aaaaaa or #cccccc and see what it looks like. I think that would be your biggest step forward.
