I have been noticing the same problem. I thought it was my lack of computer knowledge that was making me impatient 
. But it looks like everyone may be having this problem.
But I've been noticing another problem lately 
:

1. The site keeps knocking me off randomly on bogs & in the chat room . It happened so often in a few days that I stopped coming on for a bit 
. Before I thought it was related to my computer (We used to have a Dell w/ internet access at home & it had so many virus issues A Trojan No!! !) (Just had a dog issue too) 
.
Anyone else?

Yeah, damn right you will. Making this a paysite, or in practice what you say, a creditcard needed to attend to this site, will in short terms make this site vanish in thin air. I doubt that the wannabees or anything, drag down the speed, nor old posts. This is something deliberate done to us, just to show that we are not in control

Why does not LAU jump in and move or delete this discussion, cause it really don't have anything to do with autism in genereral.
He only does that when someone seems to know more than he can digest

You're right, we are not in control, at least in regards to this site. We are visitors. This site costs Alex money. I don't think the money Alex makes from ad clicks is enough to pay for the hosting of this site.
As Gary said it doesn't appear that Alex is investing time in the site. I sent Alex a PM 3/16 and it still has not been opened.
All we can do is deal with it or go somewhere else unless I'm missing some other options that may be available to us.
Does anyone have any good on-topic forums to use as a backup in case this site disappears?

I was a webmaster for a couple of years, so I know what's all about. These forum sites, is no big deal. I seriously doubt if this is getting to alex at all, he don't care all that much, he just started it. Now it's just living its own life.
