I don't mind any film really. Action, comedy, drama, family, animation. . . anything. as long as they're not too serious and complicated. I enjoy a bit of humour in the film.

I hate gunfights, but I loved the fight at the ending of the film Fight Club, which was for a long time my favourite movie.

I don't like action for the sake of action, but I like them when they have good stories/plots behind them.

I like some actions films, but for the most part my enjoyment is interfered with by my inability to comprehend action sequences. Car chases, gun fights etc, I just cannot keep up in terms of identifying what is happening to who, or even sequencing events often, particulary when the editing shows scenes one after another that are supposed to occur simultaneously. I often really struggle to work out if consecutively shown scenes are chronologically disparate or simultaneous, and need to watch a sequence several times to be able to work out if they are supposed to occur consecuatively or simultaneously.

I think the answer to these "Do Aspies like/not like so-and-so" threads is the same answer as it would be if the question was "Do people like/not like so-and-so". Some do like it, some don't.

Personally, I like this type of movie. I like other types, too.

Unless the title was something like, "Do Aspies like flickering, buzzing, fluorescent lights?"

Yes, I love action movies and many other types of movies as well.

Yes, I absolutely HATE buzzing, flickering, ugly lookiing fluorescent lights. Now I'm having a lucid "I'm an Aspie" moment.

Most action movies bore the hell out of me. For me, movies have to have a serious and interesting plot to keep me focused, otherwise I tend to doze off.

I like action movies. I like indie films and movies with a really good story line and believable characters better. I also hate over the top dramatic scenes, like in The Half Blood Prince when the bridge collapses at the start. It was just too try hard for me.

I like action movies, but it's better if it has a good storyline.

Action movies are boring because the fighting or chasing scenes more or less are very similar. It feels like I saw all action movies that exsist. I never find there anything interesting or learn something new. Just waste of time.

In general, no.

But then again, one of my favourite movies is "Aliens" which is an action movie. But not really the kind that most people refer to. Awesome film though...

I dont mind action movies so long as they explain why what's happening is happening and that every detail of the sequences is relatively easy to follow (as too much movement tends to disorient me, much like FPS games). However, i prefer movies that have a good story to them while using action to display the severity/extent of the plot (like LoTR, Transformers, etc).

Generally speaking, I can't stand action movies.

There are a few I like. Delta Force is a good one, and it has one of the greatest movie themes either.
