I am diagnosed. I live in england. Is there any way i can offer myself ( that sounds like im a sacrifice/prostitute, but you know what i mean) up for studies?

I live in london- i assume kings- authors of today's in the news story- will be doing a followup. How can i get on it? Does anyone know how to find out who' s doing studies??
Thanks.

There seems to be a few websites, including some in various locations in the UK and some that will pay people for engaging in pharmaceuticals.

Google search for "clinical trials uk"

Usually reserchers will advertise in their local community for participants, if you want to get involved in the particular study done with the MRI then it is best to contact the researcher directly, if you know what university they are from check their website or simply google their name and emil them to ask what their inclusion criteria are and how you can get involved. Even if you cannot get involved in that particular study most researchers love to have volunteers for research!

Thanks.
General clinical trials just want general bods, rather than having a specific approach, plus ive no interest in drugs.
But i did find this- physical tests for a/s
http://www.autismtrust.org.uk/index.php ... 7&Itemid=8

including stomach stuff and thyroid. Never heard of this at all. Interesting! I have probs w both.

I wish I could help you, but considering you live overseas, (i'm in the US) I probably can't. I tried to get accepted into various studies here in the US related to autism, asperger's, NVLD, etc....for months before I found finally got accepted into one at the University of Pittsburgh. I will be participating in that during the week of September 19th.

Most of these studies will not accept people who live too far from the location in which the study is taking place. I live 1200 miles from Pittsburgh and they were a bit reluctant to take me at first. Apparently they think i'd be an excellent participant though and they agreed to take me on. They are even covering my airfare and they would also cover my hotel expenses too. I have alot of family in Pittsburgh though, (I grew up there) so I don't need to stay at a hotel.

At any rate...considering the size of the UK, distance shouldn't be a determining factor in any studies which may going on in your country.

Good luck!! !

I looked into the King's Study and they have a special service called MindSearch to get people involved in the clinical trials/research that they run there:
I can't post the link as I haven't posted enough posts yet :( but if you google mindsearch it is the first hit.
Have a look and see if they are offering anything you are interested in participating in.

Good luck!!
