I think that in general, people seem for the most part normal. I know a few REALLY WEIRD people, but it's more NT interests that seem "weird" to me. It's only been within the last few years that I've been learning about NT interests, I had really never given it much thought before. I've never had many friends, and I can't say that I ever thought to wonder about what others liked. Outside of shared interests of course.
I was in my last year of highschool before I realized that certain brands of clothing were "cooler" than others, and that girls were basically expected to wear makeup. I was 22 before I started wearing makeup, and that was ONLY for work.
Then, around a month ago, I was reading a Canadian Living magazine and getting annoyed by the ads and stuff on fashion/makeup/celebs. Those magazines actually used to have good crafts and recipes, and family tips in them. Actually useful stuff...so I was cheesed off. So anyway, I said to my husband "Why do they put articles and ads on this stuff, in magazines? Nobody likes those things anyway." And he looked at me, like as if I was joking. And then he told me that those are the most popular things to most females. Seriously?! I had no idea.
Goes to show how small my bubbles is
