I've just listened to the same song 17 times and I'm not stopping. Anyone else do that?

In the past I played Pink Floyd "The Wall" in a never ending rotation of every waking moment for years. So your 17 times is not obessive! :D

I listened to "Banana phone" by raffi for 12 straight hours once...it still haunts my dreams.

I still haven't stopped...

I was just looking at the play counts on Winamp. I have played Love is Only a feeling by the Darkness, Its Magic by ELO and Pictures of Matchstick Men by Status Quo over a thousand times.
They aren't even my favourite songs. Fourth on the list is Iron Man by Black Sabbath, which makes sense. Who can resist playing that song - or at least the first minute of it - over and over again.

absolutely - every day

right now it's breaking into heaven by the stone roses but it's bound to switch over to waterloo sunset by the kinks as I do most every other day. I don't bug other people with this I usually only fully enjoy music when I am alone anyway...

I've been doing this with certain songs for some years now.

Oh yeah- for about 2 or three weeks now I've listened to the "shake, senora" song by harry belafonte off the beetlejuice soundtrack maybe 10-15 times a day. Ha.

I usually have a playlist of between three and five songs and just listen to the list on endless repeat for weeks at a time.

I love that too, anything by Led Zep, and Deep Purple. Fireball is nearly worn out I've played it so many times.

I've never listened to "The song remains the same" by Led Zeppelin over and over but I have been known to listen to live Led Zeppelin CD's continuously whilst painting over a period of weeks. I've recently been listening to the album 'Dark Side of the Moon' by Pink Floyd every day.

One other recording I've listened to is the 2 CD's of Miles Davis's "b*****s Brew" . I must have painted to that since the early 90's (in tape form , now in CD form) well over 300 times

I've also over-played The Beatles 'Abbey Road' at times .

Another obsession is watching all 5 DVD boxed sets of Babylon 5 ( should be 110 45-minute episodes ). I still love the whole 5-year arc of the show and like to see how the characters change (especially how G'Kar and Londo change). I must have watched the whole series 8 times by now.
