I will try and write something which I will post. I have to warn you that I have "doctor's handwriting". Well I am a doctor.

Does anyone else write in all capital letters?

Yep - I normally write in capitals.

I'm interested to see how many people are commenting that their writing is inconsistent - I've always had BIG issues with that. I've had shop clerks get me to repeat my signature on credit card chits because it hasn't matched the back of the card!! (luckily it's come out ok within a couple of tries).

My dad does. Write in capitals, that is. He's where I get my Aspie-ness.

EDIT: It's really juvenile, that making me giggle, isn't it?

OK, so it's a sample of my free-hand writing (without lines to guide me) and it's got more artwork in it than writing, but here it is anyway. Despite the date, my handwriting hasn't changed at all since then, really. I'll probably post some of my lined paper handwriting at some later point.

I actually did this to shut someone up because he kept insisting I didn't really have dysgraphia (as if he could know, never having seen me) but for other reasons I stopped talking to him forever the same day I uploaded it:

Writing is really painful and the pain usually kicks in within the first few sentences. When I filled out my function report for SSA, after all eight pages or so both arms and my chest hurt a lot. Everything I've tried to improve my hand writing has had little impact. I have made it more legible over the years, but not significantly so. I know that people these days are much less likely to mistake 4s and 9s for each other, so that's an improvement.

Also, when growing up I had issues getting p, q, and g straight.

My thing is I flip lower-case b's and p's- I don't get them confused in my head, but if I'm writing very fast, I'll put one for the other a lot.
Odd, since I think I read somewhere that orthographic coding problems as related to dyslexia usually occur on a vertical axis, not a horizontal?
b - d (this)
vs
b - p (this)

Interesting.

I also had issues with d and b, come to think of it. I never flipped anything vertically, though.

I did used to write sdrawkcab with my right hand. My handwriting was about as good as my left, too.
