My son is 9, he had his first “girlfriend” in kindergarten. (they were “together for 2 years, he said he was going to marry her) He only plays with girls for the most part, and He loves Pokemon too.

I hate hearing, "you don't seem autistic/aspie". I have a nagging suspicion most people have no idea what autistic or aspie "seem" like in the first place...

You're right. HECK, I didn't either! I couldn't have told you the difference between regular autism and retardation. I DID know about savantism, but never ONCE thought about only one area being hurt, and the OTHER areas being normal or savant! I never thought about all my eclectic knowledge being a type of savantism. Of course, outside of social, I am at least average in every category.

If I couldn't see autism in my actions, how could I ever expect to see it in most others? 8-(
