Like the car stickers 'Little Pwincess on Board'...yeuk!

My peeves are many and varied. My main peeve of the day is people who are pretentious. There seem to be so many of them about these days. The colloquial description of them is 'up themselves'. Says it all really.

The lame local neurotypicals who don't just believe the hype of "Liverpool as European Capital of Culture in 2008" but actually announce it to everyone they meet, even though everyone knows there's more culture in a bottle of Yakult..

I really really really dislike being told to shut up. Also when people ask for an honest opinion and get offended when they actually get one.

When you're trying to talk to an NT and they decide to overtalk you, not letting you get a word in edgewise because of their inane drivel and stopping you from making your useful contribution.

My two biggest ones have already been dicussed. Overtalking and telling me useless jargon. I have recently let go of a couple of friends for overtalking. It is so disrespectful and ego driven it drives me nuts. I spit on thee. Literally, I spat at my brother the other day in a fit of rage after he repeatedly tried to tell me how something happened when I told him after each statement I know the how, I just don't understand the "why" of it. It's like telling someone that there friend died due to loss of blood when really it was someone who stabbed him for talking useless jargon that caused the incident. Sometimes you can backtrace from the how, but you are better off simply questioning why, ya know? Oh yeah, I don't intend to stab anyone although I am still upset over the various nt encounters lately...

Another of mine is small talk with people I don't know. I don't know you, don't want to chat about the weather, and I don't want to talk about the weekend.....

Sales clerks who are TOTALLY useless ! !! I went to an electronics store for an ink cartridge. They had an entire aisle of 'em, but not the one I was looking for. (Which is a well used one, not that rare at all.) I asked the nearest kid, and got a "I dunno". I asked him did they quit carrying it? "Oh yeah, we sold too many of 'em." What a genius, he's got a bright future being a policitcian ! !! !! !! !! !! !!

The way all UK TV these days seems to be broadcast in widescreen meaning the beginnings and ends of words sometimes get cut off on my cheap TV. Anyone for "Targat SG-1" starring chard Dean Anderso?

WOW, they broadcast widescreen and didn't allow for older technology? In the US, they often introduce things LATE because they have to integrate the newer technology into the older technology. Color, Bilingual tracks, captions, widescreen, and HDTV are some good examples of that. And I think the base TV technology in the US is older and less extendable!

But HEY, we DO have a richard dean anderson that stars in Stargate SG-1! I like it. But WHY did they change him from an unassuming modest guy that is VERY smart and creative(in mcgyver) to a guy with "GREAT POTENTIAL" that often acts like an idiot that doesn't want to know anything in (SG1)?

NT Newspeople who are total bubblehead Ken and Barbies. Yucka-bugga. They are soooo NT I could puke. The idiot things they say off-script reveal them to be beautiful morons.

I have a lot of pet peeves, but one of them is the phrase, "Do as I say, not as I do," which encourages hypocrisy by excusing the sayer of that phrase's actions while imposing what "should be done" on someone else. I hate that!

I can't stand it when people I know come up to me and start gossiping about other people I know. I try to inform them, that I don't care, but they keep yapping. I have many others, but they have been discussed already.

I absolutely hate it when shops try to close earlier than they're supposed to or when people change appointment times without bothering to let you know, so you arrive on time and they say, "you're 2 hours late for your appointment, it's gone now, next one is in 6 weeks"....this despite making a note of the correct time the second the appointment was originally made. Those kinds of things happen all the time in this redneck town.
