I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder this year.

My psychiatrist says I have traits of Asperger's and OCD, but not enough to warrant a full diagnosis, despite being diagnosed with "tenative" Aspergers/PDD as a kid.

Given a “tentative” diagnosis as a child as I needed services at school for what was later correctly discovered to be a major anxiety disorder.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

I don't really know what the technical terms for my afflictions are but here goes:

-attention span of a fruit fly, unless I find it very interesting
-when I get nervous I have no comprehension of verbal instructions, everything sounds like blah, blah, blah.......
-AS
-terrible time with anything that looks like paperwork
- very hard for me to comprehend written instructions
-after typing for 45 years my speed is about 12 wpm, I still can't hit the numbers without looking
-aweful speller

There are more, but this typing is wearing me out!
