Abed from Community. I show him to people so they can understand me, especially his ability to see the future and his unselfish motives.

I don't know any books with Aspergers characters.

Only seen a few aspergic fictional characters, my personal favourite is Simon, from the story "Good People" in the anthology, the living dead vol.2. He's portrayed as the silent genius who needs only a pile of scraps and duct tape to re-build a society, sort of a mix between respected and feared.

Lisbet Salander from Stig Larssons Millenium-trilogy. I don't know how Hollywood has interpreted Salander in The girl wit the dragon tattoo, but in one of the books (second, if I remember correctly) it's made clear she has asperger. I like Lisbeth because she's tough and doesn't care about social rules.

Tails the Fox.
Because he reminds me of myself.

Moss from the IT crowd.
Because everything he says makes so much sense to me.

Sherlock Holmes, though I think it is debatable if he is not much further down on the spectrum than "just" Aspergers.

In the original stories, he's not an Aspie at all. He has a few minor traits, but he would never get a diagnosis. You have to go to the film and TV versions to find Aspie Holmes, particularly the ones played by Jeremy Brett, Robert Downey, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

He is a sociopath..

Sociopaths are not simply "unfeeling" or "robotic" or "methodical". They are completely abhorent humans who will hurt you if they can and manipulate you for fun. No Sherlock Holms, a man dedicated to catching criminals is not a sociopath.

Downey Junion seemed to play his somewhat austistically.

Tails? How do you know if he's an Aspie?

The only incarnation of Holmes that could be described in any way as a sociopath is the one played by Benedict Cumberbatch on the BBC series. He even calls himself a "high-functioning sociopath" at one point. Watson gives him a hard time for being so uncaring about the feelings of others, and he replies, "Will caring about them help save them?"

But he's not quite a genuine sociopath, and the writers point this out in one episode:

Quote:
Moriarty: "If you don't stop prying, I'll burn you. I'll burn the heart out of you."

Holmes: "I've been reliably informed that I don't have one."

Moriarty: "But we both know that's not quite true."

It feels as if Holmes just thinks he's a sociopath because until Watson showed up, he didn't have anyone around him worth caring for, but the show makes clear that he does care for Watson. He's still a total train wreck at expressing his feelings, but he has them.

I looked at some information on the Wikipedia page for her, and apparently according to the author she might be somewhat sociopathic from abuse instead of being pure aspie.

Anyway I'm not sure if he is more classic autistic or aspie, but Boo Radly from To Kill A Mocking Bird. He is so badass that he saves the protagonist from the village a**hole by wrestling him and then stabbing him with his own knife.
