1. Seems genuinely sorry
2. Doesn't make excuses
3. Takes responsibility for anything they did wrong

I forgive people way too easily. I can hold a grudge against somebody, but I tend not to show it.

It depends on the situation. In general, i will forgive BUT i have metaphorically speaking( in certain circumstances) taken the approach that Batman did at the end of this clip.

No opinon, I haven't been seriously wronged by any single person enough times to know for sure what I'm like.

I think you only know these things when you've truly been betrayed or wronged, which I think few of us have experienced yet in our lives.

Unfortunately that kind of apology rarely happens. And I've learned from painful experience that any apology short of this isn't really worth much, if they don't take responsibility they're likely to do or say whatever it was again. Most apologies unfortunately contain a loophole for the person's ego in the form of a big fat hairy "but" as in "I'm sorry but . . ." (sometimes the but is present although slightly disguised as in "I'm sorry if you were hurt by what I did/said" where they make it comfortably hypothetical rather than acknowledge that they really did something wrong.) So what I usually do is forgive the person only for the sake of sparing myself years of carrying resentment around but cut the person out of my life as far as possible.

I only accept apologies and give forgiveness to my family or those whom are really close to me, such as my girlfriend. Otherwise you're screwed. You do not want to burn to many bridges with me, because I refuse to have negativity in my life. If you're cancerous negativity, I will cut you out of my life for good. I do not accept those who lie to me, I do not lie to people nor should people lie to me. I absolutely cannot tolerate liars. And even if I do forgive you for something I'd call a minor offence, you're going to still have to earn your trust back. But coming from experience I am not the type of person you want to destroy bridges with.

I used to, but not anymore.

Most of the time my forgiveness is irrelevant, so it doesn't really matter.

I forgive because I don't want to make a fuss about it. I'm sort of passive but I make sure the other person understands what they did hurt me. Well maybe I am not all that forgiving after all but just passive. lately my temper's not been in control. I have been lashing out at everybody.
