I fond out the other night from a very smart doctor That i do not have Autism or autistic symbtombs.
My stimming may just be a calming way for myself.
He said that he could see why some poeple not all thought that but what i have is Avoidents personalitey disorder Its a very bad anxiety disorder he figured this out by me saying a few things that hit the nail quit a few times. like 1 : I used to hide in bathrooms.
Im happy its over i really am all the hard long years of wondering do i really have autism? Or do i really have something elts?
Well i deffently dont have autism because of my high verbul skills he said. So yes we know what i have it may be bad but its not so bad i cant get help and work on getting some of it gone. i dont believe it will allwes be gone because of the bullying ive been threw.
But i do know the questions on what i got for SURE is over.

This site is a grate site for the time i wonderd about myself and how it could be autism and if some people were right on it was or wasnt here. But this is an AUTISM site i dont know if ill ever be comeing back to this site anymore i want to say thank you for your help.
And someday i would love to wrok with autistics still :) I may come back ask some questions but its up to you people i dont want to be on a site that says autism when im not an autistic from what the doctor has said. i want to stay dont get me wrong!! but im not sure if its right to stay. also yes he said i do sitll have miner mr.

Whether you have Autism, Asperger's or MR you're still welcome here. Like you, I also have Avoidant Personality Disorder, so this 'Wrong Planet' is the right one for me.

What he said about you not having it as a result of not having symptoms makes sense. However, if it mostly has to do with you having high verbal ability as he said, that doesn't make sense because autistic people can be very verbal and they're still autistic.

I have Asperger's, and Avoident Personality Disorder, and Executive Function Disorder. I am also very verbal--no childhood speech delay. People with Asperger's are often very verbal, and often don't have a childhood speech delay, so I think the doc wasn't very knowledgeable about spectrum disorders. For a more accurate diagnosis you really need to see someone who has experience with spectrum disorders. And it will help if you bring copies of your online test results with you. Check the General Autism forum here for that. At least one post article on that forum has links to online tests.

But whether he is right or wrong, you are always welcome here at WP! :D

You are most welcome to stay here, but only you can determine what is right for you. And if you feel you must leave, then try to find another site that embraces your difference. However, the WrongPlanet is open to others as you can see by the threads.

I tend to hide in bathrooms when I'm at gatherings or have a job. I do this to get way from constant overstimulation, overload, and exhaustion.

Same here, for the same reasons exactly.

I do it too, not necessarily bathrooms though. During my 2 hours state evaluation, while in the middle of the IQ test, I stood up, excused myself, and went out to the parking lot to pace for about 10 minutes (it was on Sat. and the lot was empty).

I think it's rare that someone gets wrongly diagnosed with aspergers. I't the other way around, a lot of people who have aspergers get diagnosed with other disorders and that is not helping them in any way.

Today I just got my second positive diagnosis in 7 months and I still don't 100% accept it, because I have no memories whatsoever of life before age five. I think if they scanned my brain for 15 hours and then told me I had it I'd probably be sure.
