I'm just wondering, I had a breakdown about a half an hour ago, because my camera wasn't working when I was trying to make a YouTube video. My dad kept telling me to calm down, but I was having a hard time doing so. It then turned out that when I was charging my camera, my laptop was plugged in, since my camera only charges when it is plugged into my laptop when it's charging. I felt pretty stupid afterwards, seeing how upset I got over such a small thing. Why do aspies have breakdowns over the silliest things?

You know, I had an NT friend just the other day have a meltdown because she spilled coffee over a book she was reading. She woke up that day feeling unhappy. The moral of this story, people can get upset over the smallest things, Aspie or not. Don't worry about it.

It's not just aspies. Lots of people snap at the smallest things. There might be deeper-seated issues. I mean, usually such breakdowns are just the culmination/build-up of everyday stress. It's like when couples have long arguments about stupid things e.g. doing the washing up, forgetting to put the toothpaste lid back on. They're just outlets.

You know who has the best meltdowns?

Mel Gibson.

If you are going to have a meltdown, do it like Gibson. I mean, he knows what to say to very energetically burn the bridge while still on it, yet does not come of completely incoherent. That's style.

Nt and aspies both get meltdowns, the difference is that Nt struggle better with that, so they get less meltdowns.

Let me putting an example.

We have an empty glass, the stress is getting the glass full.

And Nt, can struggle with this, they would probably just bottle up that, so they got something like to cover the glass and not letting something get out of the glass.

Aspies are different, the glass is more little, and when the glass gets full we just explode.

Allow me to post another example:

Whenever my mom freaks out over a small thing that my sister or I say or do that she doesn't agree with or doesn't like, she stops talking and ignores us; whenever my sister tries to reason with her, it just makes things worse.

Yeah, that one type of meltdown, is the most of common of me since i learned no to be screaming all the time in front of people.

Sometimes in college i shutdown 2-3 times, there are day that i even shutdown 5-6, is hard to get out of that states, you need some alone time to recharge batterys, and if listen to music while you are alone, its better.

Yeah, try telling that to my mom; sometimes she doesn't talk and ignores my sister & I for the following 2-3 days after.

{Although, I do agree that having some alone time is a good way to recharge your emotional and psychological batteries.}
