Booze, cigarettes, drugs, junk food, porn, video games, etc. Besides hard drugs, I have abused pretty much every kind of reality escaping mechanism you can think of. If anecdotal evidence counts, I think I have valid evidence in support of the affirmative.

Really? That's news to me. I'm not talking about direct peer pressure where friends insist you smoke a fag or a joint or sniff some lines; I mean self-inflicted peer pressure, the desire to fit in. I dunno, maybe it's just me. But I wanted to smoke because other people were doing it and I wanted to try it. I kinda liked it so I carried on doing it and hey presto! I was addicted.

Having said that, I have a stupidly addictive personality anyway. Alcohol, drugs, sex, it all just kinda blurs into one addiction. I'm addicted to anything pleasurable, in other words. I always assumed that was the ADHD though

Not sure if I need to clarify... but sometimes I suspect the word "resistant" doesn't mean the same thing to people who have played D&D as it does to those who haven't...

It sorta goes like this:

Vulnerability > Normal Susceptibility > Resistance > Immunity.

Which is when someone vulnerable is more susceptible, someone resistant is less susceptible, and someone immune isn't even remotely susceptible at all...

In any case though, I might have assumed too much by stating we're resistant.
I guess I mean that those of us who don't regard the mundies as some sort of ideal to aspire to, or an authority on appropriate behaviour, are more resistant.

To be fair I'd say most people with AS probably are quite resistant to peer pressure. I'm one of the exceptions, or at least I used to be. Not any more though. I'm done with being so easily led
