I couldn't write legibly until I entered puberty, when my fine motor skills pretty much started. Now my handwriting looks about average and is a combination of print and cursive that I call printsive. I couldn't zip zippers that were open at both ends, couldn't tie shoes, couldn't use eating utensils properly, or fold papers neatly. then once I got to about age 12-13, it all just kind of happened for me, along with lessened sensory problems and as a result, improved hygiene. This made me much more able to blend in with the NT population.

My print is okay but my cursive usually looks pretty odd. lol

In fourth grade, I loved my teacher's handwriting and was very upset that mine wasn't as pretty, so I put a lot of work into making it nice. In fifth grade my teacher tried to convince me to hold my pencils differently, but it was hard to write that way. When I write with my left hand I hold it correctly, though.
