I am very indecisive, and that has caused me to miss some good opportunities. I have also made some bad decisions, so that has contributed to my indecisiveness.

Because of this, I try to minimize having to make choices for daily living, so I eat the same foods for breakfast and lunch, wear a limited style of clothes (Carhartt work pants and t-shirts, mainly) and generally go from home to work and home again.

My work is very open ended, and I am largely self directed, so I have to make a lot of decisions that have long term consequences, so keeping the daily choices to a minimum is important.

The only time I am decisive is when ordering food at a restaurant. Then I know what I want. Deciding on which restaurant to eat at is another problem.

Huh, that's actually one of the times I am most indecisive, both choosing a restaurant and what to get. I'm always last to order, and the people I'm with usually start to get impatient with me.

Yes, I think I am. Or if I do make a choice, I start second-guessing it.
In restaurants I will pretty much order the same thing everytime, but when asked at home, I have trouble deciding.

I am very indecisive. I hate to make decisions.
Sometimes at work I put things off because I dont want to make decisions, which makes things worse.
Recently we went to a restaraunt that is fast food order at the counter style, but their food is all fancy schmancy stuff that I never heard of and they dont have pictures of it on the menu board. so I was terrified and did not knwo what to pick, but I felt like my wife and kids were excited about going there.
So when my wife asked me the dreaded question - what do you want to eat I panicked and she could see it on my face.
I asked her what she thought I would like because after 18 years together she pretty much knows what I like, but she had no idea, so she suggested we go elsewhere. I felt bad, but God bless her for getting me out of my panick mode and the kids were great about it, especially my Aspie daughter.

I'm unsure. I would have to weigh that statement before I would feel comfortable giving you an answer. We might need to talk it o death and arrive at a consensus...

Depends on what it is. I may take my time deliberating over something, going back and forth, weighing the pros and cons. But once I make my mind up, I can be really stubborn about it.

That part is interesting, it seems to me to fit right in with being indecisive. Having to make decisions is stressful, so once you've finally made a choice, there might be some relief that would be ruined with further thought.

Actually, its probably just on to the next decision that needs to be made.

I'll still ruminate on whether I made the right choice or not.

Yes that's part of it. Also once I've mentally prepared for something I just find it difficult to shift gears into doing something else.

I second guess a lot of my decisions (and third guess, and fourth guess, and so on to a point that can get ridiculous) but at the same time can cling very firmly to the decision I've already made. If that makes any sense...probably sounds very paradoxical.

I go through periods where I am, and periods when I just do stuff without thinking. It's hard to explain.

Sometimes I'll buy games without thinking, then other times I will sit and think for hours of a character to play in a game.

Yes and worst of all if I finally choose something I almost always instantly regret it because I start thinking only about the negative aspects of my choice.

At times yes, but as Catalyst mentioned, there are times where the answer is obvious.

And that is why anytime I make a decision, I later feel as though I didn't make the "right" choice.
