My socializing much worse when preoccupied as I am a horrid multi-tasker. If I am socializing I need 100% preoccupation with socializing.

Not sure if this is more of an ADD thing, but I found strangely that whenever I was focused on something more low-key, like playing a shooting game, I was better in conversation with people that were in the room.
The minute this stimulus was removed, there were problems.
You guys notice anything similar?

I would not call that "socializing". "Socializing" is only one form of interaction. I love focused interaction but hate social interaction. Socializing is...I don't know...it's all about "impressing" others. What I don't understand is that if someone must be "impressed" or otherwise "satisfied" to perceive you as being worthy of their company, why would one even WANT such company?
Socializing is like putting one's value, as a human being, to a vote. And not just ANY vote, but to the vote of people who believe their value, as a human being, is determined by others. Which is not to say that it's "wrong". It's not. I'm sure it's perfectly logical from some people's perspective. I'm just saying that society thinks that "socializing" covers all forms of interaction - that no interaction can take place, without it - and that's just not true.
It (society) demands people seek its approval and I can't. I can't even pretend, because it is soooo slow. It demands "faking it" and deceit and the setting aside of logic and...it's slow and tedious and excruciatingly...slow. Did I mention that it's slow? I'm sorry, but I just can't do it for more than a few minutes at a time without losing my mind.
