Not at all. I've had a lot of IV's. In a way I kind of like them. In my case I usually end up in the ER in extreme pain and with an IV in place the medicine can be administered much easier and it works so quickly. With the IV the nurses are able to give me anti nausea medicine and a powerful narcotic for the pain and my pain and nausea subsidies in about 30 seconds.

Odd, I've never had one in my foot before. Yeah that sounds considerably worse than standard one in the arm.

They're painful, and make me nervous, but I can handle them.

I hate them because I have a blood-injury-needle phobia which causes vasovagal syncopes(lightheadedness/fainting). I've had to have 5 surgeries so far, and the IV's are really the only part of the whole process that I find scary/hate. I also don't like when they give you IV antibiotics before they put you to sleep, as that s**t causes my veins to feel like they are all burning. It's unnecessary as they can just as easily adminster if after I am asleep, so I just ask for them to do that each time.
