I read this book in high school, I was wondering if anyone else here on this board has read this book. I don't want to give out spoilers, but I think all of us could relate to the characters in this book in some way.

I haven't read the book but it was made into a movie that was released in 1971.

IMDb Bless the Beasts and the Children

I remember seeing it [the movie] on tv back in the 80s, and thinking it was like a warped time capsule of the era in which it was made.

Yeah, I agree, like a lot of other 1970s movies, it's very much a product of its time.

Delinquent non conformist juveniles trying to save a small heard of captive buffalo from hunters? :)

Post "Lost In Space" Billy Mumy was in it, as a gangly teenager.

I agree. He was a really good actor and he's a pretty good musician too. Anyone who can make a hit record about Fish Heads has got to be good.

on the IMDB thing it continues to be controversial. it makes me wish I could hop into the WABAC machine and go back to 1970 again.
