What's traditional pop ups, the mobile ads are well, always around, its hard to find an ad block that actually works for it.
Someone mentioned other browser engines that have in ap purchases and continuous file extensions, so maybe that's a good plan to use.

Quote Most modern browsers come with pop-up blocking tools; third-party tools tend to include other features such as ad filtering.

Some web based installers, such as that used by McAfee, use a pop-up to install software.

Adblock Plus,[9] uBlock, or NoScript, cannot block these pop-redirects. I just use Adblock.

It honestly doesn't matter, which mobile ads are the pain. I suppose you're just initiating another pop up scenario that the common user has to frequently bypass in order to be re-directed back to the site.

Maybe don't use Mcafee when doing your re-programming, it could bug the entire site. Just re employ your own link reroute option. And less encryption.

I do praise your skills, but having so many problems with site encryption can only make things worse for W.P users. Maybe one day, an investment solution will be found in a non encyrpted archive of spam bot mail, but i pray that you've already found it by then.

Yeah, why don't we use Right Planet? Why would we want to use something that is wrong?

I haven't been here much in years, but I've been on other ASD forums before this one and got some pretty nasty treatment. I've never really seen that here.

I'm not using it anymore, because there are much better things to do for me and here is nothing interesting for me, because people are people and it's not a place for me at all, due to it didn't helped me in any way. It's better for me to forget completely about the fact of being autistic and live like neurotypical do, because even severly autistic are Extremely Very similar to them in many ways. So good luck.

This planet is not wrong, it is perfect. You are part of everything, of the cultures, its content and life. The Neurotypical people did the most of good things and I'm grateful to them and there is no that huge different between us and them, expect that we have some abilities and they have other set of abilities. This is a real heaven, if you can perceive it in the right way. And we are the nature too.

Wow. A very rare message to come across in this forum. I agree very much!
Many "NTs" are absolutely wonderful beings. I mean, when a child is born, would you call him a "NT"? I think many minds are simply corrupted by false images previous generations (cultural ego) instills into them, and it doesn't necessarily have to do with whether one is a NT or not.

I still use WP because it's the original and greatest community of its kind. The original is still the greatest.

I don't use this site nearly as much as I used to. It's buggy, the community tends to be quite toxic, there's LOTS of spam, navigation on mobile is a nightmare, and the popular topics of discussion tend to irritate me. So what keeps me coming back here? I'm not really sure tbh, though I did meet a good friend on here, so there's that at least.

It seems that they managed to fix the spam issue, or they just removed any existing spam posts. We'll see how that plays out over the next few days. As for the toxic community, it seems like there are only a few people like that here. And yes, the topics here are irritating, especially the ones about body issues. Post those issues somewhere more appropriate. It seems like quite a few topics don't even belong on this site, and they are rather only posted here because of the audience that will be more understanding of someone on the spectrum. There are a lot of issues here that aren't even specific to people with ASD, and it's a common theme even among people who are NT.

The spam was pretty bad yesterday. Lots of posts advertising "black magic" services.

Why do we use the site :

It is By us For us About us.

It has its little quirks. I will live with those on the basis the site is put up and maintained by people who day jobs and lots of other claims on their time.

Slick sites such as f---book look slick and seamless because they PAY people to spend their time tweaking and maintaining them.
NTs also have a strong herd instinct which makes data from their viewing and browsing, posting sharing etc a valuable source of revenue even when reduced to statistical form.

I was camping this weekend and I wasn't able to pay as close attention as I should have. The SPAM countermeasures had been pretty effective so I was thinking it wouldn't be a problem. Guess I need to tweak some things. :?

wrongplanet is not perfect but i like it here, like my virtual home planet. plus i think you all are rad 8). don't get me wrong--the issues that are being brought up in this thread are annoying. however, the site isn't rendered unusable because of them and it does appear like alex is trying to clear things up. also, much appreciation for the mods on cleanup crew :salut:
