Well the usual response to the Labrador reference was a mention of how much I eat (anything, within reason) and apparently I was cute and had a nice smile. Notice that I use past tense; the horse term took over from the Labrador several years ago :cry:

When I was a kid my mother would tell me to "pull my socks up" when they wanted me to work harder to get better grades at school.

I don't know where they got that phrase, but it sure would be great if all I needed to get better grades was to pull up my socks. And then maybe I'd use some tape to keep them up. :lol:

I used to pull my socks up when someone said that as well. It is only as an adult I learnt that that term has nothing to do with your socks!
