You have to get a PhD psychologist to administer an IQ test.

Online IQ tests are not reliable, in my opinion.

Not a PhD necessarily, but a professional psychologist in one way or another to be certain. I had my IQ tested as part of my autism evaluation.

That's true to some extent . There are those that even if you answer randomly , or just tick all the same numbers , will give you a 110+ IQ . Having said the more reputable non-verbal tests have given me 73;77; 73; 74 ;85 ;65; 83;67 and 40 . That's an average of 71 . Taking out the highest and lowest results it's an average of 73 .

That's not unrealistic given my poor (visuo) spatial skills .

A psychologist may charge $400-500 for an IQ test. Mensa may charge $60-70.

The Mensa web site may direct you to a practice test that should tell you how like it is to make their 2% level.

The practice test should be able to give you a free "ball park" measurement. The Mensa test itself can give you a fairly reliable measurement.

If you feel that your IQ may be high search around for a paid or administered HRT (high range test).

I don't really have the patience to do well on a high range test . Having said that I am trying this one - https://iqexams.net/IP25/Test-of-Interpretive-Power_(1).pdf . I don't expect I'll get a high score .

The test creator has to do a statistical analysis of group results before giving a score report.

I got the result from that test I mentioned in my previous post . It was an untimed test . I think it was quite high range Difficulty rating was 4 out of 5 . 2 hours are recommended for the test , but I took about 30-35 minutes .

I got my IQ tested as part of the psychological evaluation that was done for my Autism diagnosis. This was just last year. I took the Wechsler Adult Intelligence test. My insurance paid for it. When averaged out, my IQ is average, around 100. But that's because I am, according to my psychologist, near "genius" level with verbal reasoning/vocabulary, but well below average in all other areas tested. The doctor said that this unevenness is typical of people on the autism spectrum.

A decent psychologist wouldn't have given you a full scale IQ with such a spiky profile .

The doctor I saw was one of the only ones in my area that does adult autism evaluations. The problem is that the nonverbal part of the test was given verbally and was timed. The combination of being watched while I was taking the test and knowing it was timed made me uncomfortable and probably lowered my score. Online tests usually give me a full scale that is much higher, like in the 125 to 135 range.
