who here battles low self-esteem?

Learning about the ND paradigm, and about all the traits of ASD that effect me, has helped my self esteem a lot. I try to remember to not judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree.

note to self, remember fishies versus tree climbers.

Sadly mine is very low but not directly due to the fact I'm autistic. By that I mean I'm sure that is an influence because it is literally how my brain works but I don't ever feel lesser than because of my autism. I just hate myself and see myself as a subhuman, with that aside :')

i always felt like a child of a lesser god. but that was an illusion, i learned late in life, that i am in fact expiating negative karma from previous lifetimes when i was [not to put too fine a point on it] a conscienceless psychopathic rotter. i showed signs of that early in this incarnation as well, until life systematically stepped on me. so for me, the low self-esteem was designed to get me to finally recognize that there are gazillions of others who suffer even moreso, and to pay them at least a thought or several.

Why is there something about ice-cream in the poll?

Do you assume that we all like ice cream?

I can surround my low self-esteem palate within its delights!

I, OTOH, have seen where it comes from, and feel nauseous at the memory.

I've seen it made from a manual ice-cream maker with a cranker.

I have spent the night listening to cows and calves who have just been separated to make milk available for ice cream.

there are ice creams not made from cream extracted from animals. and if you don't like ice cream, and you don't like the poll, you are always free to eschew participation. what a distraction.
