I saw a lot of people on a WP post mentioning the social aspects etc. being an Aspie issue. Luckily for me I just hang with my small family so everything is good. The past few weeks I've been SUPER PSYCHED!! !! I was dissapointed at first in only finding a $4 small Monster Truck toy for my 4yr. old nephew Logan a few weeks later I got him a talking spider-man,a big montser truck and a lightsaber! Also I know what my little sisters got so they will BE PSYCHED tomorrow morning!! !! !! ! I can't WAIT to see everyone open there gift! Sure some people know what they got! but still they can't wait to use it finally when they return to work. :-) Also the past few weeks I've wore Christmas hats and bounce around is a giddy excited mood!! !! Can't wait to open everything and SEE everyone open everything!! !! !! ! :-)

Hope you have a great day tomorrow!

Christmas is neither here nor there to me at the moment as I have no family, no friends and no money so I also have no xmas presents, no xmas food goodies, no xmas decorations...and so on.

Basically it is just another day to me.

On the bright side I did get the best xmas present in the world (of sorts) as the books for the science course I am studying arrived unexpectedly early so I will spend tomorrow doing mathematical equations and reading about global warming. I am really looking forward to getting going on the course (it starts in a few months) and so am doing lots of prep work. I have waited a long time to pursue my degree and now I am back to doing what I love again...Studying.

There is no greater xmas present than that! Even if it was a present to myself lol.

I did start a course a few months ago but it was a false start as I picked the wrong degree subject. After pulling out of those module and dancing around a little bit I have finally found the course I am happy with. After all that faffing around I went back to the degree I was originally going to register for before I changed my mind...Natural sciences with an Earth Sciences/Geology pathway...

Not only that but I have fallen in love with maths. I need to improve my maths for the science course as it has been a long time since I studied it, but find doing mathematical equations and algebra so much fun that I have added it to my hobby list lol. Now I am collecting maths book just for the sake of collecting them and answering any questions in them lol.

So I guess I got a new hobby for Xmas as well as having the chance to do something I love!

I'm really excited! I just hang with my small family too, so no major socializing has to take place, and I love both giving and receiving gifts. Plus, good food!

Not really.

When I had more money, I loved to buy gifts for my nieces and nephew, but that's not been happening for a few years, so it's mostly a day where everyone is loud and I am only peripherally involved.

I used to cross stitch things for people back in the day when that was my main hobby. Alas even if I did pick up my cross stitching again I have no one to make anything for anyway. I do keep meaning to get around to making some cards or something for charity though.

I can't wait to see my family members open their presents either! :D My mom got the most gifts, thanks to my dad and me. She got a new make-up kit with a set of brushes, a Yankee Candle, and lotions from Victoria's Secret. My brother got a machine that makes calming sounds like thunder, rainforest, crickets and even a heartbeat (! !) to help you fall asleep at night (he has difficulty sleeping). My dad got a new watch.

I'm not getting any presents tomorrow because I ordered mine from the Internet, so they should be here within the next week or two. I ordered another Alice in Wonderland plushie to add to my collection and several My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic toys to add to my other collection (a Twilight Sparkle plushie and Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity brushables).

Making things isn't a bad idea, although I would never actually get around to the making, I suspect.

Okay, two shutdowns today (second one imminent). On target for a repeat of last year (six shutdowns from 24-26). Not how I planned to spend the holiday.

I'm glad that you have something for Christmas that brings you hope. I, too, have had my hope renewed this Christmas in an unexpected way.

May everyone find something to have joy in this holiday season!

Excited, yes, since I get presents, cold weather out, and there's plenty of after-Christmas sales at bookstores where the prices go low.

I'm, too, a bit excited around Christmas, though I was much more excited when I was a kid / teen. I value this tradition, and I think it is a part of my routine, a particularly dear one. Reminds me of the days when our family was still happy and hopeful. Last time it was so I was only a kid, then it become more and more scarce. However, I try to take my part of it and make everyone happy in my family the best I can. I think we all enjoy the holidays, though. I don't have to go to parties with 20 or so people, either.

I hated it as a kid, since I always failed at the "thank you awesome gift" face, even when I really loved the gift I got.
Now that I don't recieve but GIVE the presents, I love it
The preparation, the opening of the gifts (yet to happen, my boyfriend and daughter are still asleep and my son is going insane here "can I wake them up?? can i can i??")
It's pretty cool!
I started baking at 9 am yesterday morning, I involved the kids in the making of the cakes, we had french toast and eggnog (with sprinkles lol) at all hours of the day, I made a fantastic turkey and we ate like crazy. It was really cool.
Now, I don't know what they're doing but they have to wake up dammit, I want to see the kids open the presents!! !

I love Christmas even though I maybe 38 years old I still love the enjoyment of opening up christmas presents putting up christmas decorations and christmas lunch. I still get excited on christmas eve that Santas coming that I don't sleep all night. I love singing christmas carols and watching carols by candle light and watching any christmas show on TV.
