Do you have obsessions with people or subjects?

Do you have obsessions with people (either romantic or non-romantic) or subjects (transporation, history, computers, insects, etc.), or both?

I have had obsessions with both, I am just wondering which is more common, and if there is a difference between genders.

Female and both.I had a crush on particular guys and one girl,in grade school.My first obsessions were bugs,books,rocks.I still have all those but I think my people obsessions is over.I think the people obsession was to find someone else I could connect with and I finally have.I do still think about some of the guys I used to obsess about and wonder how they are but I dont feel the need to act out the obsession.

And for the guys who are answering this I would like to point out that having a need for a girl friend is not the same thing as having an obsession with one or two females when you feel like ONLY that person is interesting or "perfect" for you.

I'm male and more obsessed with objects, animals and certain cultures than people.

I am male and obsessed with some subjects, and animals.(mainly subjects) I may know a LOT about some people(Just today I gave details about the olsen twins, bill gates, and donald trump), and I know a lot about some cultures, but I am not obsessed with them.

ewan mcgregor films though anything with him in them i enjoy watching too. when he played obi-wan i was awe inspired that they we so smart.

scottish actors are the bomb honestly. my wife like irish accents but sorry scots rule the known universe. irish women get me all weird inside though..

Yeah, that's how I am with certain actors. I'll become obsessed with the movie, and then I'll just want to go see other movies the actor is in, even if I'm not interested in the plot. Lately, I've been doing that with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. I saw The Departed because Leo was in it. Only reason. I like going to hear the actor's voice intonations and try to match it with the intonations they said quotes from my movies. I did that with Gladiator That movie bored me so, but every now and then, I'd hear something, and think to myself, "Ooh! That sounded like how he said, 'Terrified, mortified, petrified, stupefied by you,' as Nash!" It can extend to other actors that I'm not obsessed with, if they've been in my obsession movies. Like when I went to see Poseidon, I didn't know Josh Lucas, who played Hansen in A Beautiful Mind was in it, so I was so excited about that fact, that I didn't pay any attention to the movie- just matched intonations. Anyway, first and foremost, my obsessions are subjects.

female and mostly obsessed with other people, mostly weird men who I have no desire for romantically, but rather, a respect for professionally. It gets bad sometimes because they misread my intentions.

I am male and have obsessions with many subjects and have had my fair share of obsessions with people too, not necessarily romantic, but I can get them confused with romance.

I am older now, but when I was young I tended to obsess on particular women. Most people I just ignore.
I also obsess on subjects.

I'm young, almost 25, and for the most part, yes, women I do obsess over but I normally stay away - Hey, I ain't no stalker. Why follow those who dislike me, anyways?

I'm almost over that hurdle in my personal quest to gain full control of my 'self.'

I've a mysterious disappearing obsession with various Sainsbury's staff. In fact any female I have a chance with - I am probably going to develop an obsession with them, Sainsbury's or not.

And yes, I'm obsessed with subjects. I'm becoming very interested in post offices, and the postal system.

People get on my nerves too much to ever be obsessed with them. Subjects are always better they don't argue or get upset about you being obsessed with them

Female, subjects only. I've been accused of avoiding my friends when in reality I just hadn't been thinking about them much.
