One poster said a couple of questions about menstruation made her think I had a "weird obsessions"

Whatevah.

Kirinia Koswage had an interest in serial killers and nazi death medical experiments.

I have an interest in overclocking my pc, setting DRAM CAS latency, FPO BIN number for core revision overclock, (see overclockers') shop at newegg, water cooling, pin mods, boot straps, dual SLI, quake 4, boot menu, linux etc. I am registered with several PC websites including overclockers, spcr, newegg, anandtech, tomshardware, and I post etc. I also have considerable in-depth knowledge of human primate evolution, the Bible, quantum gravity, star trek (voyager and classic, some TNG and DS9 and enterprise) marvel and Wolverine, star wars and D&D.....As a kid I had interest in reptiles and dinosaurs and even carnivous plants (i.e venus fly traps) even sea monkeys.

Aspies, do you think Kirinia's interests are weird even by Aspie standards? What about me?

Yes. I've never found another person NT or Asperger's who likes meerkats, Lion King or Titan A.E. (NTs have never even heard of that movie) as much as I do or at all.

I take that personally. I've mentioned I like meerkats, and so does the Missus. But to the topic, yes I find Kirinia's interests morbid and odd.

Having said that, I'm obssesssed with the real history of WWll, so yes I do know a lot about the Nazis, but I'm not all that interested in them.

As for processor overclocking:WHY?? Back in the good old days it made sense, but now???? And oh, yeah, there is NO human-primate evolution, it's a fable ...

I like playing computer games.

I like sleeping.

I like eating.

I like reading.

I like studying in between my class sessions.

Dunno. I have a fascination with oppressive governments. Maybe I'm weird too.

I don't think her obsessions are weird at all. I would, however, find her weird if she *admired* the serial killers and Nazi doctors, or wished to emulate them. I myself have had long, on-and-off periods of perseveration focused on Nazi Germany, serial killers, the Black Death, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and nuclear bombs/nuclear war in general (among other less morbid preoccupations, of course). I really fail to see what's particularly weird about these topics other than their generally macabre nature.

Who are we to be judging weirdness? We're Aspies for crying out loud! We're all a little bit weird, or at least that's how we're viewed by more "normal" people.

Agreed weirdness is our mode and modus ... its certainly mine.

I'm fascinated by the dark side of those crazy humans so the nazi's , nuclear weapons , biological warfare , state sponsored terrorism ... it all interests me.

After that I'm just your regular computers , reading , spiritualism/paranormal , sleeping kinda guy ;)

If that's all that it takes to be weird, then I'm weird too. I went through about a 1 1/2 year phase of Nazi Germany, including learning German. I've had a pipe cleaner phase, an Atlantis phase, a Captain Cook phase and many others. Just all of a sudden I'll see something and connect with it, and then all my money will go to that subject, until something else gets my attention. It can be anything, along with my constant one of music. My most embarrassing one was Pokemon cards because I was 14, everyone knew at school and tortured me for. Or maybe the one I had for balloon animals at 16, people made fun of me for that too...

I find them no more wierd than the op's apparent obsession with the woman he's talking about... funny how he posts a lot about her. Kinda disturbing.

I agree, and I think those who suggest otherwise should be permanently banned from this forum. that's what I told hale_bopp and MishLuvsHer2Boys

My periods are the same as everyones, but every womans is different whether she is NT, AS, or something else.

Uh, this is an Aspie forum. Perhaps you do not belong here? Kirina Kosage is an Aspie woman with a preoccupation with serial killers and Nazi medical experiments. wrote:

Gee and you wonder why it would kinda make us Aspie females apprehensive a little with the questions you ask? Think about it a little.

I think that if you cannot tolerate Aspies you should be banned permanently from this forum

I have an official diagnosis of Aspergers, do you? So honestly you have no rights to say I should be banned. I at least know who I am. I find some of your questions disturbing, that's my right to feel that way. If you don't like it that Hale_Bopp and I feel the way we do about your questions, that's your problem.

What right do you have calling anyone "weird" and "pervert"? This is an forum where Aspies can talk about their interests. So Yes I think you should be banned.

And where do you get off telling people they aren't entitled to their opinions and feelings?
