My beautiful beautiful hobbies! I also shop too frequently and have just bought another sequin art kit (even though I have 10 that still need doing, however I do not have the design I have just ordered) and two books...one on geology and the other on evolution. I also ordered a tapestry kit the other day but it has not arrived yet.

I spend too much money on my hobbies, this is naughty as technically I should pay my bills first but....the kits were only cheap anyway and I have cash set aside for the really urgent ones (bills). Plus I also have plenty of food in so I won't starve or anything.

Repeatedly apparently (3 posts in a row there) lol.

I think WP is having problems today. It seems to be a bit stressed out itself.

It depends on how stressed I am. I have certain levels of stress that make the process either harder or impossible. (below are all examples of each level of stress and are not exclusive to people)

Light Level: Where I may be in a heated conversation with someone, but not that concerned with it, meaning not a big deal.

Mid-Level: Where multiple people are getting on my nerves at once, or if someone says something hurtful.

High-Level: Where people insult me in some way, usually by insulting my perceived intelligence as a result of how I word things or how I see things (which is 9 out of 10 times, simple and easily boiled down into basics).

Red-Level: Where it's better to just leave me alone because I've become defensive and will lash out if I feel I'm being attacked verbally.

Light level is where I usually just play a game or watch a movie. Not that hard to get out of.

Mid-Level is where I'm rather frustrated and it sometimes takes anywhere between one and 2 hours in order to get calmed down.

High-Level is usually where I'm frustrated beyond my usual limit, and will, in the example above, insult people back by showing how idiotic they're being to everyone who can see the comment. This level takes me 3 to 4 hours to get rid of.

Red-Level is where I'm beyond my maximum limit of tolerance. It is at this point that I cannot calm myself down within a day because it's usually due to a large argument with people who are both insulting and idiotic, who won't shut the f*** up regardless of anything and won't leave me alone. It is during this time that it's best to be quiet, and leave me alone for a week or two. In some cases this has lasted for months due to circumstances such as people not leaving me alone.

Meditation, yoga, tea, laughing/humor, music, spending time with my boyfriend, writing my thoughts down, and massages.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

Depends on your stressful situation but most of mine center around being social or my family so it makes me feel better to walk as far as I can away from them (hiking in the mountains). If my stress is not fixed sometimes I'll go camping, flip them all off, and enjoy my solitude outside by a camp fire under the stars.

If I'm unable to leave the house I'll try and teach myself something new about my special interest (Computers and Programming), If everyone is too loud and I can't concentrate I will just read a book, watch a favorite TV show, or try and go to bed.. If they're all too loud for me to go to bed. I come out of my room, yell at them, they laugh at me, and I sleep inside the car in the garage and hope I'm not disrupted -.-

If it's a normal-day level of stress I just come home from work and be alone. Usually I just need to be alone in my space for a bit and complete my "coming home" routine to feel more centered and in control. On those nights, I could have company after about 30 minutes and not feel more stressed.

If it's a more intense level of stress, I'll need to add a glass of wine and TV to the mix. I'll watch something that makes me forget myself so I can either put the stress "away" or deal with it on a subconscious level. It also helps if I get some exercise on those days. My bike is my friend. On those nights, it would be tiring to have company.

If it's nuclear level stress (something I've had kind of frequently lately) I'll just do whatever I can. I'll shut down and rock or stim for stretches of time. Occasionally I'll get drunk. I'm not proud of that, but sometimes it's necessary and I never drive. I absolutely do not want anyone around on those nights because I'll be going about my business normally and then suddenly have little meltdowns that would be seriously embarrassing in company.

I can usually hold it together pretty well during the day at work, even if I'm really upset. I think the worst that shows is a kind of depression and/or confusion. Although maybe I'm kidding myself. Usually people will just say "Are you feeling ok? You seem a little down" so I hope the camouflage is working :)

I read, and drink a glass or two of wine. If things are too bad I go take a nap.

I eat a lot, drink a little wine, and then sleep. If work is stressing me out, I take a day off work and relax.

Play video games, read comics, listen to music, watch movies, pretty much anything that puts a nice visual image in my head.
