More Florida Issues

Watching the news last night i heard that Folrida was about to pass a law stating that anyone whos felt threatened by someone in public could legally shoot them in pre-emptive self defense. This sounds like a pitfall for aspies, for me anyway some think i sound threatening even when i am not. I could see an aspie in a situation where they dont understand what is going on, their tics flaring and possibly lashing out due to confusion.
On the other hand, aspies might not be able to take advantage of this law. If we think someone else is threatening but they are not and one of us shoots them, we too are in trouble. I have done extensive reading in law,
What is reasonable doubt anyway? The word reasonable is subject to each persons discretion, what you think is reasonable, i might not and vice versa. The system of law in the US is very unclear, i like things black and white, either or.

Your thoughts?

I personally would feel like throwing eggs at whever passed that law.

Um. I think it's more along the lines of, someone who is attacked or assaulted may now legally shoot their attacker before attempting to flee.

I live in Florida (IT SUCKS), and I haven't about this before. It would sound like a reasonably good idea if it were worded better. It makes some sense. Anyways, Florida is BAD. Weather=BAD and RANDOM..

I swear that Florida is the strangest state in the union, although I come from NJ, which is pretty close.

Two Florida gun laws from the 80's:

A state law was passed (and put into effect) allowing people to carry guns, as long as they were NOT concealed! Stores were posting signs that said "no guns allowed".

Oakland Park, Florida (near Ft Lauderdale) passed a law REQUIRING residents to own a gun. honest.

Oh, another Florida story, this one involves Clinton's Attorney General, Janet Reno, before, when she was US Attorney in Miami:

A 12-year-old boy and a ten-year-old girl were caught "fooling around." Reno announced that she was going to prosecute the boy for rape, and the girl for lewd & lascivious behavior. honest. (I was there then, too) She was only dissuaded by a public furor over her decision.

DO you remember the name of the Bill and what year it was passed?

It sounds like there is more to this new bill than has been discussed here.
Is there a link to see the exact language of the proposed bill somewhere?

I think the world would be a better place and we would be safer, if we all shoot and kill each other.

That's a cool law. I'm don't think it was describes very well at the start of this thread. The law allows people who have been violently attacked by a criminal to kill them without having to try and flee first. This is legal in California which I should point out has many gun laws of questionable constitutionality.
