Can anyone think of the best way to annoy an aspie? How about inviting him to meet just one friend of yours, who turns out to be a whole lot of people who like to laugh and slap strangers on the back. and then when the aspie complains you said it would be just one person, shrugg and explain he has multiple personalities.

can anyone think of other ways?

Have you read the thread "you may be an Aspie if......."

I think you'd be entertained by that.

One way to annoy an Aspie is to make use of an alternative meaning of a word whose usual meaning is well-established--especially if the established meaning is precise and the other leaves room for debate.

Tell them you'll pick them up in half an hour, then be ringing their doorbell in 10 minutes

...and when the aspie corrects it, snap at them that they should have understood that you really meant to say (insert some other word) and get all annoyed with them.

I have a big problem with people saying something but meaning something else or people not being specific or clear enough for me to understand what they really mean or really want. Example: the other day I asked my boyfriend if he needed help with cooking dinner. He said he didn't really need help but that he wouldn't say no to some help but that it wouldn't really make things go quicker or anything. I just stared at him in confusion and frustration for a few seconds before telling him to please just tell me if he needs/wants help, yes or no.

Invite him to a social gathering where the only activity taking place at said social gathering is the consumption of large quantities of alcoholic beverages until everyone passes out.

A sure way would be to surround that individual with a bunch of other people, who are talking to that person and/or asking them questions all at the same time (I personally experienced this many times). :?
This is highly annoying and extremely overwhelming at times ... :|

That's true, actually. Personally for me though, it depends on the person (how well I know them, my relationship with them, etc.).

Absolutely, I could talk to a group of 10 people I know and trust very well.. but a job interview would throw me into anxiety. :?

I completely understand where you're coming from. For example, if it's someone that I've just met or don't know too too well, that's where a higher level of anxiety kicks in. I try my best to control it though, which is a good thing. :)

I was in a hurry to go turn my laundry, guess just saying "job interview" anyone gets anxious during that. Just looking a stranger in the eye is a bit much for me, lol. I moved across the US last year and I've managed to make.. 2? new friends. Damn anxiety. :|

Either way, how to annoy an aspie.. touch em. Put your hand on my shoulder and I'm not accountable for your broken nose.

I guess one way to annoy me would be to expect me to conform to some arbitrarily external aspie standard.

Whatever their special interest is - invite them along with someone else who thinks they know all about that interest but in fact doesn't have clue what they are talking about and is loud and overbearing and won't let anyone else get a word in edgewise.

How to annoy an aspie...

Attempted forced conversion. ANY forms of it. With all the inane stuffs, anything but anything reasonable or logical. Ignore any corrections, and be vague about everything. Assume the aspie is a mind-reading psychic. XD
