Right now, today.... Time to change the subjects from "poor me and why I don't fit in whith whatever, ranting and raving about social habits and whatever else is commonly flung around here..

I am getting some chicken wings...barbecue, sweet and sour and honey garlic flavoured, frying up some chinese food..rice with soy suace, cherry sauce, plum sauce, chicken, bean sprouts, celery, yellow onions, green onions, oxo-chicken flavoring, green pepper, yellow pepper, red pepper, carrots, broccoli and cauliflour.

Then I'm makin some chow mein with some noodles, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, bit of cabbage and ???? whatever else I feel like tossing in it at the time.

Finally cooking some eggrolls in the oven and frying up chicken balls with sweet n' sour sauce.

And yes...i'm serious, I have great fun cooking all of it and sharing it with friends/family. I get a big wok, 2 frying pans and the oven going all at once!

Can I come over to your house for supper? That sounds so good!

We are having hamburgers and probably corn on the cob.

I'm inviting myself over, hehehe! Mmmmmmmmm, Chinese food! I never know what I'm having for dinner on any given night, because I'm far too lazy to plan for or cook a complete meal. Seems a waste of effort to do all that for just 1 person...

Brown and wild rice fried with millet, sesame, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, then cooked with green onions, garlic, dill, chervil, tarragon and mustard.

At my house we call it "pond scum" for how it looks when you take the lid off the pot.

Fresh lemon and butter on top. or maybe some cheese.

Steak on skewers over the fire outside.

Tomatoes for sure and green beans, corn or whatever looks good at the farmer's market tonight.

Plus, on farmer's market night, I get pecan tassies, which are these 1"diameter pecan pies in very buttery, flakey crust. I don't like many sweet things, but those are good.

You're getting me hungry now! The chinese and pond scum both sound great!

Figs and Apricots are both ripe and ready from the backyard. I will be slicing both and drizzling them with honey, balsamic vinegar and fresh sqeezed lime. Then tossing in a few minced mint leaves with just a dash of spicy red pepper flakes for a cool, fresh chutney salad to accompany grilled prawns on skewers basted with lime, butter, garlic & dill.

Bon apatit!

Great stuff to eat, IMO

I'm thinking about ordering one of those delicious Megan's Chicken Parmesan pizzas from The Blind Onion... And some garlic chips...

I don't want to subject myself to my severely-deficient cooking prowess.

I'm eating a very simple meal... a chicken.

Well, a usual meal for me consists of rice and some kind of meat. Today, however, I had gazpacho.

I had a small greek salad, then some hommos and corn chips. Then some sponge cake with cream. About 6 squares of chocolate with peppermint centre to finish off.

For dinner tonight I ate some stewed strawberries and some cooked green beans from our garden (NOT mixed together - yuck).
Not eating much the last couple of days... been sick, but feeling somewhat better finally.
However, the kids made homemade chocolate fudge tonight - all I did was lick the spoon and I felt sick again.
What a way to lose weight.

I had me some Chick-Fil-A...sandwich with no pickle and some waffle fries. Always good stuff. Go in dressed like a cow tomorrow and you'll get free food!

To quote my mother: 'We are having turkey-burrito-burgers.'

I have no idea what they are.
