But I was just wondering this for no particular reason. Two of my guy friends told me they prefered skirts over pants, so I was wondering what more people thought.

I put skirts, but I really like both. It really shouldn't matter, and it also depends a lot on the person's body.

I really like skirts but I think that at the moment they are way too short. I like the knee lenght ones (are they still considered skirts), simply because they have a really college vibe to them (which is where Im at right now - I mean the age group as apposed to being physically in college), as apposed to the really short skirts which teenagers tend to wear.
But I definetly perfer pants over really short or really long shirts, and seeing the short ones are more popular at the moment I put down pants. Of course it depends on the wearer and the occasion.

BTW from the general chatter I hear around me I fairly sure most guys think, the shorter the better...

Wee! I only wear skirts, EVER. I own like two pairs of pants and I will only ever wear them under my skirts. All my skirts are knee-length or longer (yes, I AM a hippie). Your response comforts me to no end.

Skirts are "prettier" in general, but pants are so much more convenient!! ! I basically never wear skirts, though I own two "skorts" I wear sometimes. ((Didn't vote!))

Oh, come on! Skorts are a wonderful invention! They have the modesty of shorts with the elegance of skirts all rolled into one! ((I also have several shirts which look like a shirt with a sweater over them- and yet, when I wear them, I am in fact WEARING ONLY ONE SHIRT! MAGIC!))

I can't stand skorts. Worst invention ever.

Skorts arent that great of an invention sporks are so much better but thats getting off topic (and the names sound alike too.) But anyway back on topic I would tend to agree that the body type matters more then the clothes.

Skirts tend to attract perverts, especially if they're short enough.

Pants are disgusting on a big backside unless their hipsters.

Some people wear their pants and their fat is oozing over the size at the waistline.

Pants are just boring in my opinion. I sometimes wear them, but for comfort I stick to shorts, because I hate pants hanging in mud and getting wet in the rain.

When I go out I wear skirts. I only own short skirts and a few mid length skirts, but about 2 long skirts which come in useful sometimes I guess.

Skirts tend to do up and just fall on the waistline where they fit. Pants have to be pulled up so "muffin overhang" of fat is more common. (unless the skirt is too tight)

Men like when girls where tight pants though, because you can see their butt and thighs.

That is real smooth actually. Good technique, rolling you're eyes round so as not just blatantly look up her skirt directly. I often use the looking around my surroundings technique to perv at burds. Much less conspicuous.

I think skirts are prettier, though both are fine. What I don't like are terribly immodest tight pants and short skirts, knee length is nice.

If only I were 2 feet tall.

No, you don't seem to get it. most guys have to look down to see if they can see up a girls skirt. Looking down is also involved in the rolling eyes movement.
