I have a good sense of direction and can find my way about new places pretty easily as long as I have a map. However, I'm not good at either giving or receiving verbal directions. If someone is telling me how to get somewhere I prefer that they just give me the address so that I can find it on a map and get myself there.
Exactly as I am. Have map, will travel. But if I have to follow verbal directions, I might wander off in the opposite direction - I have a history of that.

I have difficulty with my right and left though. I wave my right hand a little and work it out from that, but it takes time to work out which is which. Apparently for most people this is automatic and they don't have to think about it.
Me too, I have a problem with left and right. Actually it bothered me so much that I eventually did some private research and found out that many people don't know their left hand from their right or they say left when they mean right and vice versa. But it is true that they don't think about it - they just use the wrong hand and that is all, they never notice unless you corect them. While other people actually have to stop and think about it.
