i learned two new things about autism and aspergers... that i haven't read ANYWHERE... people told me...

first, deals with feet and hands.... according to a family member who is an official jack of all trades (teacher/social worker/psychiatrist/and more) having small feet and hands generally alludes to the person being on the spectrum. I am an example of that. My shoe size has ALWAYS been below average, and I barely have a pinky toe. LOL

second, deals with teeth....according to a dentist at where I work (the health department), it is known that those with Aspergers have abnormally large nerve roots in the teeth....that's why our mouth is so sensitive.

If anyone finds proof to debunk this...please let me know. I do not want to be mislead.

debunked, I am 15 years old, my feet and hands are HUGE! I wear size 16 shoes and my hands are also huge, it is even hard to find gloves that fit because all I can find are medium and small, but never large.

Feet and hands are both oversized in me, and my son from what I understand.

Teeth are sensitive, but don't know nerve size details.

The side of my family from whence Asperger's proliferates, is the same side that has really big feet.

I don't know about my Dad's side of the family, but I inherited a wide foot from my Mom's side of the family. My hands aren't small. However, my toes are curled in.

My teeth are sensitive, but I don't know about my nerves there.

While my suspicions may be unfounded, this info seems kinda suspect to me.

Well, my teeth ARE big, and my mouth IS small. Several dentists have told me so. But my mouth is sensitive in OTHER areas. Tooth roots don't have anything to do with it.

I'm pretty sure my boyfriend has Aspergers, and his hands are remarkably long. Big feet, too. But then, you'd probably expect that as he is very tall.

I have large and delicate hands like a pianist. My feet are average size.

My teeth are very sensitive however.

i have rough square medium sized hands, very tiny feet (but my very-ASish mom has large feet for her height). My feet are very wide in the front from all the toe walking...but if they weren't so broad and bony, I could wear a size 5. 5s are generally too narrow so I flop around in a size 6
..my teeth are not sensitive, but my tounge and roof of mouth are sensitive to certain foods..

I have average to a bit large hands. My feet are of perfectly average shoe size.

Somehow I've always felt proud of having small feet.

If only I had happy feet...

Well I have tiny feet and hands. I'm 5'8" and wear size 7 shoes and size 4.5 rings (standard ring size starts at 5) and children's bracelets.

I have large hands/long fingers for my height (5'5"), my feet are average in length, but run wide. My teeth are extremely sensitive & one orthodontist had trouble putting bands on my molars because he said they were extra huge. LOL As a kid, my teeth were pretty big, but I have grown into them.

You reminded me of a curious incident with dental anaesthesia. I seem to be too resistant to it. One doctor had to apply it to my molars FOUR times and I would still feel everything. She had to perform the surgery anyway, so I endured it.

But one hour after I exited the consultory I started feling numb all over my throat. I spoke in Neanderthalese for the rest of the day.
