I am going through some rough times right now. I live at home, my parents are just about ready to get a divorce, too much to explain there, Money problems, no job, no car. I just get to where I feel nothing. After it is over with it can be very scary. I mean to basically shut yourself down emotionally for a while it is liberating and scary at the same time. Hwen all the problems began I was upset 24/7 because my life revolves around my family. Now I can go for days without feeling anything. I guess I am just desensitized to it all.[quote]

I definitely do this sometimes. It's very scary but it's an excellent defense mechanism at the same time.

Just a thought. Give your self a chance to process what is going on, in a way that is comfortable for you. It may motivate you to take action which might give you a better sense of control of the situation.

sometimes this will happen to me, too. but, it sometimes happens after social activities, or it can happen just randomly. it almost always happens when i'm feeling particuarly lethargic... low energy. it's like i don't have the energy to bother processing emotion anymore and it just shuts down. but it usually doesn't last more than a day for me.

I find spending time on my own, relaxing and maybe watching something easy on TV helps. Maybe you should find a way to move out of home. :(

Sometimes I feel nothing.

Sometimes I feel empty.

Sometimes I feel numb.

I have no idea when I will fee like this. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to when or how long.

oh yeah!! !
feel that now.
Funny thing, it started getting worse once I was on AD's.

I like to think of Pinhead from Hellraiser, He had a great line, "I am so completely empty!"
wow, it always stuck with me.

It's so sad of you, cdc2001c... But it happens sometimes, and it will go. You see, sometimes it's better to feel nothing than to de stressed :( I hope you'll be fine soon.

^Could be. :chin:

I am emotionally numb quite a bit. I won't go into detail, but it's a defense mechanism picked up as a child/adolescent.

I always seem to be online, 17 hours one day, but I am doing other things like repairing old pictures in photo shop, or chase my ferrets around the house, I don't think I sleep more then 4 hours per day.
