I was browsing through my computer looking for stuff to clean out and ran across these gems. There from a 1986 episode of Double Dare. It was one of those episodes I wished I had DVR'ed. Of all the epsiodes I've seen, this one was by far the best and most exciting. Instead I had to settle for these video snap shots.

I post these because I theroize that we do good on facial expression tests because the expressions are staged and out of context, verses the real world where everything is in context and mixed together.

Here are some "real world" examples. What is the emotion present?

He looks either like he's about to cry, he's apprehensive or fearful. Or in awe? Surely it's one of those? :P Maybe he's expectant or doubting himself. *gives up*

1. Unsure.
2. Scared.
3. Distracted, possibly by something scary.

So it's been a day...

The majority of opinion on this thread is has sided with some kind of anxiety based emotion.

Anyways, to set this up. It was a guys vs girls show, and the two guys pictured won the up front game which was a nail biter. They got to play the bonus round/obstacle course where the grand prize was a trip to disney world. As memory serves me correct, they won the grand prize with 8 seconds to spare.

excitement over the win quickly paved way for crying, LOTS of crying - tears of joy initally from the blonde kid, which is the first two pictures, and finally from the black haired kid which is the last picture.

Well I was pretty much right then, looking at the circumstances.

This is joy?
I would have said hope/anxiety.

This does not look like a happy person. I would buy relief.
I think most NTs would have had trouble figuring out this emotion.

Nervous as hell to be on tv. Other than that, I don't know.

Gimme a list to choose from and I'll do better. :D
