I have seen a few posts about Aspie sub-types. I have a good start in classifying what I have observed to be the two primary Aspie types.

Type 1- Schizoid/Left Brained/Evil Genius:

Logical
Analytical
Calm
Low display of emotions
Has little desire for friends

Type 2- Schizotypal/Right Brained/Mad Scientist

Eccentric
Creative
Hyper
May be quite emotional, even bipolar
May actually want friends

I fit Logical and Analytical from type 1 and everything except Hyper and Eccentric from type 2. What does that make me?

Definitely the second one for me...except..I don't think I am bipolar.

Please please please there is no such thing as Aspie sub-types and hopefuuly soon no such thing as Aspies at all. Wing did the world a huge diservice when she decided to be politically correct and label us as AS so as not to stigmatize us as being autistic.

Yes, we are far to complex for a few simple labels or catagories.

I always thought I had a lot in common with Jamie Hyneman. I can only tick 4 of those boxes though because I have some desire for friends.

So since this wasn't an 'official' thread is it a 'make-believe' thread just for those who need to identify with labels for some reason and not intended for regular people?
