Yes, or, No?

Don't answer with some long winded contradiction of what I'm saying/asking, just answer the question.

...You have called it " closed and void " so that's rather irrelevant at this point , I would believe so . I will stop posting on this matter for now ( Today , anyway . ) .

Was that a 'no' then?

You don't want me to drive across the country - nearly 3000 miles - to pick you up, drive you home, feed you, clothe you, pay for your school, get you a job and a new life essentially?

What I'm hearing from your bla bla bla is NO, am I hearing you wrong?

Were I to go elsewhere , I would of course need to clean up , put on some new clothes ,and , carrying a suitcase with at least a second pair of clothes and some necessities and something to read , take a plane or a bus to Whereverville .
How would this be paid for ?
Oh , and a person who handles themself "____Girl " stands a fairly good chance of being underage (or " just past " said stage , 18-25 , especially if an Aspie , after all , I guess )...Need I say more ?
Frankly , too , I don't have a lot of skills - Computers ? I am not a computer genius by virtue of being as Aspie , and even as far as typing I am not a " trained " typist ( I look at the board while typing :x . ) . Physical stuff - there's that " diabetic ulcer on the bottom of my feet " pesky thangwhich I've had , non-stop/close to it , for years , another manifestation of something that already led to 1/2 a toe being amputated and the usual warnings from the medical personell I've seen regarding the possibility for more...I am pointing all of this boringly practical stuff out , not trying to shoot it down 1005 .

OK, I've sat back and watched for a day, to see where you would go with this.

Let me start by saying that yes, initially it was a "Put up, or, Shut up" kind of deal.

However, I've had time to sleep on it, and speak with my family about this situation.

We - as a family - are completely willing to help you out if you are a fellow aspie that's fallen on hard times.

Regarding your concerns, let me address those now.

Location - I live in Virginia.

Transportation - I will drive to you, collect you and drive home again.

Accomodation - We have a room that you can use until you get on your feet.

Medical - I'm a qualified medical professional; I'll help you regulate your diabetic issues and also dress your wounds daily.

Future Education and Job prospects - My family and I will pay for you to go to school here, to study what you need to become a phlebotomist (you may have to google that). Now that's not a great job, however, you only have to take 3 classes to qualify, all of which can be completed in one semester. When you are qualified, you will earn pretty good money for a one semester trained field - around $30 - $40 an hour in our area. Once you have a job, you can find your own place and then you can go anywhere you want from there. If you wish to train further and become a registered nurse for example - you will have both the contacts and the money to do so.

So there you have it - the offer is there if you want it.

Now, that said, let's assume you are possibly not on the level. Let me detail how that situation will be handled. I'm former military. My husband is active service military. We have two daughters. If you feel that this is an opportunity to attempt to flees us, to fiddle with our kids, to burgle us for drug money, or any other severely illegal activity - be warned that I have a mossberg within arms reach while I sleep, and I would have no trouble blowing your brains all over the wall in defense of my family.

If you are on the level and need help, then my family is willing and able to help.

This is the post you are quoting out of context ASS-P. If all you got from this was 'brain splatee', you have more than just being homeless to worry about.

...( Okay , I'm adding this . )
It's a rather crucial additonal point .
I was just replying to one - important - point in it at that time .
The initial answer wasn't intended as a total " No ! "...It was warily pacing around...You , however , responded to it with the " closed and void " statement .

From what you are saying dude, it seems to me that you are beyond help.

You can't answer a simple question. I'm not trying to put you in a bad spot, I'm offering to put my whole family at risk of being murdered by a 'possibly drugy pedophile', and you think for some odd reason that you are in a position to barter and complain about me being cautious.

Really? That's just mental.

Now, that kind of begs the question - If you are on the level and wouldn't hurt my family, why are you shaking in your boots? You had nothing to lose.

As far as I see it, being a homeless type 2 diabetic with no prospect of regular medical attention/medication - is tantamount to a death sentence.

But hey, if you want to spit if the face of someone who was willing to risk everything to help you, that's your call buddy.

Good luck with that.

How exactly do you expect me to react to what you have just written about me and my family?

We are offering help, and you seem to be obliging us to prove our innocence as if we are on trial - where do you get off doing that?

I have stated that my husband is serving in the military, hard to do if you're a serial killer.

Me? Well I have a greencard - which you can't get with a criminal record of any kind. I underwent a full background check through the FBI before I was granted permanent residence status.

Frankly, what you have written says a lot about you and nothing about me and my family.

ASS-P is homeless, with no money, food or medical care. How does your 'stirring sh't' help him in any way?

Fixer_Girl, I don't think he meant to speak to you, personally, but the real fact that anyone can say anything on the internet, and that truth is hard to verify. Me, I have my little clues I look for, but when it comes to your honesty these posters don't have access to some of the clues I've had access to, so they are going to be more suspicious. When you read in the news about all the horrible things that have happened following internet hookups, I'm not going to tell them they are overboard wrong; over the internet, everyone must keep a skeptical eye.

Still, I very much think ASS-P should accept your offer. But is even my opinion suspect? Of course it is. While I know that I am who I say I am, how do any of these posters know it?

Anyway. There is more conversation for me to read. I'll do that before I make any more comments.

DW, you seem like a really nice person, and from the stuff you say online, you seem pretty constant with your approach to situations and issues at hand.

So how's this?

I'll PM you the logins to all of my security feed cameras that are all over my house. You can view them, and then report back to the others if I am on the level or not.

I'm essentially opening my house to you.

That's a heck of a lot more than anyone else is offering as a means to identify who they are.

However, from the way ASS-P is acting, there's no way on earth I'm helping him anymore.

I don't need to take his BS. I offered help, and he countered with quoting me out of context in an effort to undermine my integrity - I'm not having that. If that's how he treats the people that offer to help him, I'd hate to see how he treats his enemies.

DW_A_MOM, I've Pm'd you the links to my security cameras (all over my house).

I've set up a login for you and used an appropriate password.

Have a look around, see for yourself if I am on the up and level.

It goes without saying, however I'm going to say it anyway.

Please don't give out the links to anyone else.

I'll leave the logins for you to use for the next day or so, and then I'll delete the access.

Thanks.

Um, I don't think that will be necessary. Well, unless our friend asks me to. But, you crack me up. I mean that in a good way. Like pulling up all the library hours in SF; I wouldn't have thought of that (but he is physically in SF right now or Berkeley per his profile? I haven't followed everything).

As for ASS-P, I wouldn't totally give up on him ... yet. If I try to put myself in his shoes, I realize I would have a hard time accepting the offer was sincere and jumping on it ... there are a few hurdles he's got to clear in his mind, and he hasn't been given much time. He's understandably suspicious, and I'm not sure if I've helped or hurt that with things I've said. Most of the time I should truly stay out of things, and on rare occasions it is good when I rush in, which I guess is why I still do it, but I never know until the story is over which one I had that time. Regardless, (sorry for throwing my own issues in there) I could have almost predicted some of his initial reactions, and I don't consider them conclusive - yet. If this idea would work, he would have to quickly change his whole mindset, and be willing to throw the biggest hail-Mary pass he's ever been asked to. You aren't afraid to throw those kinds of passes, and it's a big part of how you got to be where you are. He is afraid, and it's certainly a part of why he is where he is now. Life requires risks. Not utter foolishness, but definitely risks.

I see the pm, but I'll wait on opening the pm or activating any of it. Lets see if it is necessary. I'm a little uncomfortable with the idea, to be honest! For now, kids need lunch.

My husband might have an issue with me adopting 30 year old aspies - not because you're aspie!

That's funny though! Thank you, you made me laugh.

This is where you are awesome, you are always ready to give people a second chance. It's something about you that I really admire.

I'm not that patient though. If it's broken, then let's fix it. But he doesn't seem to want the help. He seems to just want to complain all of the time and act like some kind of drama queen. As I said before, his issues are nothing to do with me.

The facts are (if he's been telling any form of truth) that he is homeless, he is diabetic and he has NOTHING. What on earth would he have lost? There was no risk.

If he is wondering if I am some kind of freak that's going to chop him up in his sleep - well, the next time he sleeps under a bridge or something surrounded by a hundred drug crazed drunks, he should ask himself "Is this safe?"

From the way he turned me down, I think that he's full of poop.

I didn't just offer him a little money. I was offering to spend THOUSANDS on him and go WAY out of my daily routine to help him. I was trying to give him the life he was blabbing on about not having - but he doesn't want it.

What he wants is for people to send him 'western union' checks that can't be traced. What he wants is for us Aspies to fall over ourselves trying to find a solution to his issues. He bats down every angle and only wants to hear one thing "How about I send you some money?"

He's done, and I called him on it. Where can he go from here?

I have a question.

ASS-P, I'm going to throw out a few details, and you tell me when it starts getting warm in here, ok?

Would you like me to go on?

Shall I call the police and let them know what you've been up to? I think you'll find that's a parole violation and I hear that there's a three strikes law in CA.

Nothing?

Should I mention 'Affinity'?

How far would you like me to go buddy?

Frankly, the fact that you don't just have a home, that you have a home in one of the most expensive locations in America, makes me sick.

You get your kicks by playing on the kindness of aspies? Really?

Maybe I should just take what I know to the press and let them pull you apart on TV - sicko gets kicks stealing from autistics!

wait a minute ass-p has a home? i thought he was homeless!
And yes, it is a sick thing to take atvantage of anyone but especially a bunch of disabled people.

Frankly i dont think this guy cares, i mean his typing on here seems to clean up well nice when he's trying to convince us he doesnt need any help, and when hes looking for attention makes about as much sence as a elephant with a keyboard. i mean really!
