Thats funny too. But I will eat or drink anything (just about)

I wouldn't go on a Ferris Wheel never mind the bungee

But I think you are joking, really just try a cup (feeling like a pusher)

Thanks. :)

Ferris wheels are kind of pointless unless in front of an ocean view. Or at the top of a hill, because if a bolt snapped you'd get some free travel.

Yeah I was joking. So if I go to a tea shop and ask for a dime bag...?? (joking again)

Just don't ask to get tea bagged ! !

But to be more serious this stuff isn't easy to find necessarily...I don't believe I given a lot of details on where to get it (or I'm too busy and/orlazy to re-read my posts to confirm this fact) but just to continue to prove that I'm not out to make any money from this you can PM me if you want me to get into more details other than what I will write below.

I did get my first supply in a "normal" shopping mall but unless you have this exact same (chain) store in your area, you won't find it.

I also visited several actual Chinese Herb/medicine/ginseng/tea type shops in a very asian part of Toronto.

About 3 out of 15 had heard of this plant, tea or pill (and I bought from them because they had it too).

The third option from what I know at the moment is the Internet. But the prices on the net vary a lot so be careful.

It's on a lot of websites from a quick glance when I googled it earlier. There are some different places here that probably have it too. I don't know how quickly I will be able to get out and get some but if I do try it I will post the results here. Unless, of course, I fall off the chair still holding the teacup.

Joking again.

Glad it helped you. I sure wish I could find something that made me feel better. But oh well. I've gotten very good at distraction. :)

Because some of you were asking for more "proof" though personally I don't think this proves anything. The only proof that should matter are results:

Adaptogenic functions of jiaogulan are demonstrated in its biphasic effects on brain functions, which energize or calm the system depending upon the body’s need. Jiaogulan also aids the regulation of hormonal functions in both men and women. The healthy maintenance of these physiological actions plays a major role in the body's ability to cope with stress. Jiaogulan has also shown its effectiveness, in clinical research studies, in helping the body resist depression of the immune system and other stress-related symptoms. It increases the production of Lymphocytes, Phagocytes and serum IgG, but not to an excess.

Jiaogulan has also demonstrated anti-inflammatory activities through its many saponins. Jiaogulan also helps the body to resist depression of the immune system and other stress-related symptoms. Furthermore there are other clinical research studies, which indicate jiaogulan's ability to reduce tumor size. It can even lower high blood pressure. 15

You need to source that if you want to call it "proof". Anyone can write anything with big words and call it proof. The FDA requires independent double-blind clinical studies. Do you have a link to any of those?

It appears you now claim that it not only improves autism but cures cancer and fights viral infection. How did this magical tea exist all this time without a pharmaceutical company (who could make trillions with it) finding it despite spending tens of billions of dollars on R&D every year? I guess they need to log into WP...

Please don't do this. Please, don't do this.
It's not even half-way meaningful, and I've written programs which randomly generate equally significant-looking strings of buzz-words.
But I've done it for fun; you're doing it as evidence and that's worrying me.

It this substance works for you, then great. Really, that's great.
But please don't wrap it up in generalized mumbo-jumbo like this.

I popped the paragraph above into Google, and I see it's just a copy and pasted hooey, and it is posted on hundreds of woo websites that sell miracle cures.

It will make you live longer, quit smoking, boost your zinc, lose weight, cure cancer, reduce inflammation, cure autism and one site even calls it the "immortality herb". HOW did this get past us all for so long?????

Apparently, some of you missed this:

 And I bet it makes playing the piano even easier too, but modesty forbids that extravagant claim from being made.

I saw it. One rule to remember in any debate that involves facts: Don't submit something that catastrophically undermines your core point just because you can't find anything better. You are better just leaving it alone.

Better to remain quiet and let the world take you for a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

We were asking for evidence, but having said "personally I don't think this proves anything" it then makes no sense whatever to post it, really.

If nothing else, it is a great topic for discussion. It lasts almost as long as the discussions on the arguments for and against religion or liberals vs. conservatives in the PPR section. I've been following this discussion and feel like an expert now on the pros and cons of the herb. I wonder how many people have tried it by now and just aren't admitting it. After all there was alot of research in China to back those claims up on those advertising sites. I couldn't find the original source of the article, though. Okay, can I have my cup of tea now. Really, the discussion about the herb is giving me a placebo effect. How long will it last? I did my best but I don't think I can kill this one.
