I don't know what you mean by get back but... when I was bullied at school, I did end up hitting back at my bullies. Didn't go too well.... ended up suspended from school.

i just think now though that those bullies will be nowhere in life.... whereas I am studying at a good university. :)

xx

I just got booted from a job where one of the blokes was a 'teacher's pet' bully. He would approach a supervisor and offer to do paperwork for them in order to be their 'pet'. Then he would threaten any of us that said anything to him about being obnoxious and rude with running to the supervisor and telling them. Truly one of the most annoying pests I've ever had to put up with. I frequently fantasize about hiring some tough to knock him on his arse. I won't do it, but I think about it a lot.

When I was in 7th grade, this kid was walking behind me all day, calling me "ret*d." After a while, he wanted to shake hands. I shook his hand all right, to the tune of torn ligaments in his wrist. My mother was sued for the medical bill.

I did one time, at my boss, of all people. Everyone was head-over-heels in love with him. In 2012, my manager wanted to penalize me for taking a vacation. He harassed me on a daily basis over my "productivity" that he knew I had no control over, due to the sheer number of tasks he gave me, all located in different parts of the building. He also told his cronies (offshore help desk people) to call my personal cell phone frequently. One time, it was so bad, I couldn't fall asleep for three days. I'm still embarrassed over the amount of money I spent on tobacco and alcohol during that time.

I knew why he was doing this: he wanted to destabilize me enough to get me fired, or to make me quit. I was starting to have thoughts of suicide because of this. But then in the middle of it all, I found a great labor lawyer. He helped me understand that even though my boss is a piece of sh**, he isn't very bright. The lawyer gave me instructions to follow, which I'm not permitted to disclose per my agreement with him. Then he represented me during the lawsuit. My boss represented himself, because the company refused to pay for his lawyer. I was awarded enough to cover the deductible for my medical treatments, and pay for my entire cruise I went on in 2013. I partied harder on that cruise than I did during my entire four years of college.

Work was business as usual after the lawsuit was settled, although my boss avoided me in person. But when word got around to HR and upper management, he was fired on the spot, as in "vaporized" like in the book "1984". I, on the other hand, was immune, due to laws against retaliation. For the rest of my time at that company, I lived like a king: did the bare passing minimum of work, came in late all the time, and even refused to do a task once or twice. Offshore help desk was prohibited from contacting me under the fear of losing the jobs. I got a vacation request approved in a snap. The only reason why I left that job is that I'd hate myself if I made a career out of it, plus, I'm sure my hopes for a promotion were slim to none.

I now have a new job where I make twice what I made at the old one. About a month ago, I got a LinkedIn request from that same boss, the one who abused me. His still lives in the same city as before, and his job shows "unemployed", as it did when I checked his profile last year. I denied his request, and told him to eat my turds (a dark-humored pun on Bart Simpson's "eat my shorts").

I was bullied regularly throughout year 7 and 8 at secondary school. Used to have stuff thrown at me, get laughed at when I couldn't speak or stimmed and received racial slurs (my ethnic background is British and Hong Kong Chinese) and because I'm small for my age. I was going through a difficult time in year 8 (I was about 13) - one of my closest relatives had just died.

This kid in my class thought that it would be amusing to throw a book at my face. The book hit my face and my classmates laughed. I lost it. It usually takes a lot to push me over the edge. I went through years of bullying but that was enough to provoke and aggravate me after the loss of my relative. I launched myself at my classmate and hit them over and over again, and took all of my years of rage and anger out on them. They haven't gone near me since.

I feel guilty for beating up my classmate and I wish that I'd never done it.

Can't say I never wanted to, I also remember wanting to burn the school down because I was sick of going there.

I once isolated a "bully", asked him to come with me behind the school building and say to my face what his problem was, he chickened out of course.

but he wasn't much of a bully though, later on I must say though he might have given a half-hearted attempt, he was a failure at bullying.
turns out he now has malignant cancer, thin as a bone and can hardly do any daily chores..

really, of all the bullies I would have wished cancer he's not even worthy being on the list.

I did.

It was in some time of middle school. A lot of people were against me but there were 3 boys that seemed to be the "source of the evil". I got them one by one, by hits in the face.

First one got it when we met on the hall and he didn't let me pass by him when I was in a hurry. We were alone. I got pissed off and gave him a slap in the face. Then he let me go and when we met in the classroom later his cheek I hit was red. He didn't say anything to his friends. I was sure he was ashamed that I was able to hit him.

Second one got it when he decided to push me from stairs. I somehow was able to hear/feel him coming so I moved right before he got at my back. But I didn't move all my body out of his way - I left my hand (fist) on the height of his face. He got on it with the whole speed and strength and almost fall from the stair himself. I was surprised I was able to get him like this but he was even more surprised - especially since some people of my class seen the incident. He lost some of the class respect by "letting ME hit him". Noone supposed it is possible before.

Last one got it on a history lesson. He sat behind me and was kicking my chair the whole time so I couldn't focus (I hate history, and besides - history lessons at that time were a pain, my class totally didn't listen to the teacher, the lessons were worse than school breaks, students were doing anything but listening). I told the teacher about it but the boy told him "I don't do anything, it's her imagination" and the teacher didn't react (to be honest he never reacted to anything, he already had a clue the "letters to parents" won't work for the "devils" of my class and he got no other "weapon" against them). So, after the lesson ended I got up, went straight to the boy and punched him into face - in front of whole class and the teacher. Surprisingly I didn't get punished for this at all. I suppose the teacher also wanted to punch the boy for a long time already but it was forbidden - teacher can't hit any student.

After the incident the "devils" (and anyone else) got afraid of me. Noone bully me since then. The 3 hits changed my life.

I once said something back to a guy in school, who called me names, but as I didn’t pick my line from the regular bully lexicon, but rather from the most insecure spot of his soul that isn’t some visible physical disability, feature or action, it hit him hard. After seeing that guy totally crumble mentally and never after that interacting with me in any way, probably because he was scared that at any moment I could “reveal” him again, I knew I should keep my mouth shut.

I understood then that I am actually the one who holds the power that bullies try to reach via bullying. That power can’t be reached via bullying but as similarly misused that power could be even more damaging weapon than the regular pettiness of bullies. What people are scared of the most? You facing them, not by playing that stupid game, but with that truth in your hand they desperately try to hide with that very same game.

I remember I got back at another classmate a few weeks ago. She likes to pick on me regularly and tries to force me to speak because she knows that I cannot speak to her most of the time. She finds this rude. She will gang up on me with her friends in order to try and force me to speak. I can speak to a couple of her friends as I am friendly with them. This angers her immensely.

One day I had enough and snapped back at her when her friends were present. She kept saying "how dare you" when she spoke to me and I only responded by nodding, shaking my head or shrugging my shoulders. I told her, "Your head is so far up your own arse, you can taste what you had for breakfast." and walked off. Her friends were laughing and she didn't have anything to say.

Yep. Many times and many different ways too. I usually just ended up making them feel like crap.

I admire you...

Well for me this one time in forensic science this red haired kid who made it his job to be the class clown and bully came up to me and got in my face and give me a little girly slap on the face to bug me, I then grabbed him by the neck and pinned him on a table and punched him several times, after that his friends called me names n s**t BUT it was THEM that ended up bragging about their "friend" being bashed, I said nothing to no-one, so called friends they were.

This other time a bully in my class was really bad with everyone, he used to beat up kids younger than him and anyone else that was good (his excuse was he had to teach people "who was boss"), I broke him down over a couple of years by playing pranks on him, like pulling his chair out under him in class, throwing big rocks back at him when he threw rocks at me for seemingly no reason (probably jealousy so thats prob the reason), also dominating him in the game punch for punch (when we were sort of friends) and plenty of other s**t I cant remember now but the icing on the cake came late in the game (when he was much nicer and a good friend), he got bashed by a HUGE group of people (one person in particular who was one year younger but really tough) while he was by himself, I feel kinda bad for that...even though I had nothing to do with it at the time.

Another time was during a schoolyard rugby game, We was playing with both people from our grade and the older kids joined in, One older guy was treating some of the younger kids like me like s**t so before the break of the ball I ran up to him and tackled him BAD, he skitzed out wanting to hit me but since we were playing a rough game the other older kids backed me up and stopped him for being a big b***h.

Another time a HUGE guy was giving a friend of my a hard time, she waas a girl and I lost it, Because he was much bigger I had to get creative with my rebuttal, so I got a boiling hot kettle and splashed his face with it and started attacking him till I was pulled away from him

ANother time with a different big guy who was a bully creep started taking advantage of another girl and sat right near her then out of nowhere grabbed her hair a pulled it, I jumped on him and choked him out.
