Not really the hole point of a taser or pepper spray is to use before you need to use physical defence, that’s why they have 4m range also it is used if they run away while they took something... I think a drunk chasing you saying "that the best you can do" is a person that needs self-defence if he does not leave you alone when told to that is why the guy went over and told him... If you fear for your life & you feel that you will need to use it then you use it, some times warning while holding the person at range with your other hand so he can't grab it saying "No" assertively 3 times if you fear in that situation then direct spray into the eyes is justified... Same rules apply when using a firearm or having to defend yourself you need to know the rules... Same as pressing a panic alarm device miss using them can get you into trouble...

I did ticker common sense on not pitching forward a sale pitch and giving a business card to a person asking a simple question in a 'video store' sorry but most people working in video stores in usa are creepy...

Don't need to get high to enjoy life while you screw yourself over with a really bad drug that does more than the other stuff, and I watched the way these people have to inject themselfs, losing the middle of the nose, Weed depends on the THC also most don't even know that they is 2 drugs mixed with weed allot of the time with cocaine, the person growing it needs to know about the plant they have... Yes And allot of people do they is no need for it in the end...

Are weapons one of your "obsessions"? You sure talk about them a lot. And weed mixed with cocaine? I've never heard of such a combination being used except for people who smoke weed afterward to suppress some of the anxiety caused by the stimulant effects and/or withdrawal (I will say that I'm a little "obsessed" with psychoactive drugs, in fact with pharmacology in general, but especially of the brain).

I like to know about weapons, mainly because I need to know the information for Game Programming, easyier than looking up the common weapons used in a game...

No one has commented on my first post early on in thread. So I am wondering if my posts are invisible or does no one else think the guy that called my employer & told the receptionist crazy things about me, called me at home and found out where I worked and where I went to exercise was a stalker? I certainly felt stalked. This was a complete stranger and married with kids to boot.

Ticker... 8O I didn't see a post like that. That CERTAINLY sounds like stalking and SLANDER. Wouldn't it be cool if we all had the mind and no how and resources to pull fuc*s like that into the civil system. I think that would be great.
But I'm going back to...read that now.

*note to the people who said, "I didn't stalk, if I did, I didn't notice, if I knew I would be terrifyied"-you rock!!

Ticker,

I responded. Mostly in my livingroom. First, I was amazed to hear first hand about ANYONE else who encounters ANYTHING close to what I have encountered during my aging cycles. Then, that sympathy pain thing over the implications of the emotions another had to endure. Then, relating it to myself, which is one of the only ways I can ever communicate a response (my aspergers unique framework)...I stammered out...

The fact is, you are a very strong 'seeming' well put together woman. When you write, you already 'lay it all out' and it seems seamless. As if there is not a question to respond to. I'm a bit miffed at it, myself. I'm glad you said something-this thread is moving fast!

Ticker wrote:
I used to get that a lot, but it has declined the older I have gotten. I think stalkers tend to go after young women who are alone, though some idiots will go after anyone. As bad as this sounds do be careful of who you talk to that you don't know. For example my boss wanted me to drum up business so when this guy at the video store asked me why I was renting a certain kind of movie that also pertained to my line of work at the time I kind of sales pitched him. Then I gave him my business card. The weirdo ended up stalking me calling me repeatedly at home, calling my employer and telling them weird things. Then unknowingly I was in another store and had no idea his friend worked there. His friend got info from my check and gave to the stalker guy. It didn't end till I moved 2000 miles away.

I've had several others bother me but not any other major stalkers like this creep. THough there is a street person that hangs out at one of the grocery stores in town and he harrasses me about every time he sees me.

I AM careful of who I talk to that I do not know. All it takes is a 'look' in their direction. I am always looking for the danger- I have a perfectly undetectible from the outside, blindness in one of my eyes. I HAVE to look around so that I don't fall down, get hit by a vehicle, ect. I see alot with my ears, but I always double check with my eyes.

And I AM older. Mid 30s. But, there is something wrong with me in that I 'appear' on the outside to be much much younger-16 or so. As young as my kids. That, and an overall ignorance of standards to my social appearance: ie, I won't butch my hair like some of the other women my age do. I don't carry a purse. I am comfortable in jeans and a t, or sweats and a tank. I don't dress up. I can't stand suits or the smell of them. I have issues with the whole 'manicure' scene. I'm essentially a grown up bumbled kid.

Having someone free to stalk you at work, gain your personal information, harrass and follow you, slander you to your peers, and drive you from your home-or not cease until you move away-whichever the case--is OUTLANDISH!! !! That there were umpteen people around seeing it going on or being aware of it is what is sad about society today.

The story about the drunk was actually kind of funny. You would have been in your rights legally to assault him. Sometimes just restraining your movement and NOT touching you is grounds for assault. Of course you have to be able to communicate this to your attorney-something we do NOT do well. You seem to have a lot of drunks and street people. I live in a low key suburb bent to no bs living. Though I'm in the apartment sector...

It's terrible that your police are protecting your towns abusers from the justice of their victims.

Sounds like you are in............... (I'll pm it)

that shouldn't have to be a course of action. somewhere these boys are taught that it is a perfectly acceptable form of behavior.

This happens to my friend allot because she is too friendly to strangers. She is just too nice and friendly and some ppl misintepret that as being interested in them romantically i suppose.

there was a study done on this somewhere cited in my local paper, wherein it was said that men mispercieve a woman's friendliness as attraction.

Someone taught her to be too nice and friendly and she is going to have to unlearn it to stop the behavior. Which if you think about it, doesn't seem fair.

And you wonder why I say the things I say just coz I won't bark like a dog and role over on command, and tell you what you want to hear....

This is the kind of way your speakers use to put across they word's they actually using your emotions to enrage you into thinking its not your fault your the victim they the ones at fault, to start something you need a catalyst without the catalyst you can't start the burn, and I am sick of this been used out of context your damaging the people who actually truly are in need of help...

This is why the systems came into play because females were abusing the system, yes you made them females who really need help suffer because of it... You can't blame the male for all of it...

If this was a religious thing or talking about blacks it would be banned as anti social behaviour, this is not so for females as they can't arrest you because you will just yell sexist, and female equal right's, got nothing to do that your blinded by your emotions, and these people are fuelling you with using your emotions against you...

And I really don't care how much you bite back at me because that is what it is, do you even listen to yourself?

mmmmmmkay.
slight bit touchy?

I'm not sure where people go wrong and direct someone else's topic as a blanket statement that should or is intended to include them.

probably a good, safe bet. especially too since you broke your leg and flight might not be an option.

I had this guy see me at a bus stop and decide I was going to get into his car. He was REALLY LARGE AND ANGRY. I ran to a phone and called the police-but they couldn't do anything but show up some time later. The guy eventually left, stating he was going to kill me ect. And all I could think was 'what the fu*k did I do wrong?'

Apparantly I shouldn't have been waiting for a bus to school. Or shouldn't have had left work to catch the bus to school. Or shouldn't have been wearing makeup or a dress. OR shouldn't have been employed on that side of town-which is just like any others. Or shouldn't have been exactly what he was looking for-which is really out of my hands. What pissed him off was that I declined his offer for a ride to school. I never could understand that either.

Logitech-we are talking about ACTUAL DOGS and ACTUAL EXPERIENCES, not you or any other bloke on this forum, don't take it personal, if you don't like it, stop reading. It was in fact addressed to females-your welcome, but I do gather that you are male.

(and formerly on my 'hottie' list)
