This reminds me, I went through a stage when I was 4 or under when I watched Winnie the Pooh videos over and over, I felt disturbed when he got stuck in the honey tree and the video left the impression that he would have to spend the remainder of his life with his upper body stuck in that tree although he appeared happy to have what was implied is an endless supply of honey. My Grandpa always made mention that he was named Winnie after the city of Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, a few years later there was a heritage minute about that, here is the history lesson for those who don't know.

My grandparents actually live right on the Canadian border and we drove into Winnipeg once when I was very young, and I think we even went to the Winnipeg zoo while we were there.
My mom says there's a photo of my three-year-old self hugging the statue of Winnie the bear cub somewhere.

Given that Winnie the Pooh was my first special interest, I must have been over the moon to meet his namesake.
